Following a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Doernbecher Freestyle program has returned. On February 25, 2022, seven inspirational – and highly creative – young patients from OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, will virtually reveal their personally designed Nike sneaker, apparel and equipment collections.
The Doernbecher Freestyle XVII patient-designers are Zoe Taaffe, Michael Wilson, Cidni O’Brien, Sam David Phelps, Maylee Phelps, Catalina Vasquez, and Ayman Wamala.
Since 2004, the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle program has raised more than $30 million to help save lives, develop new treatments, and provide the best care for kids.
The 2022 Doernbecher Freestyle collection will be virtually unveiled on February 25th at 6 PM PST. Tickets for the event can be purchased here for $50 each.
