The Parra x Nike Air Maxim 1 collaboration model has finally hit select sneaker boutiques around the country, after months of serious anticipation. Featuring a speckled midsole, matching bordered laces, and bold tongue graphics, the model is really completed by the subtle contrast stitching and black-on-black Swoosh embossing. The release goes hand in hand with a series of ironic “The Lovely Underachieving Loners” jackets and shirts designed by the Dutch collaborator. Parra is definitely no new name when it comes to sneaker collaborations considering that the Holland-based artist has teamed up with Nike, Converse, and Vans in the past. This time around, the Air Maxim 1 is the silhouette of choice, and it hosts a black based colorway. This pair features a black suede and synthetic mesh upper with red accents seen on the stitching and midsole, while sea green accents are visible via the stitching, rear logo, laces, midsole, and the air bubble in the sole. The Parra x Nike Air Maxim 1 is expected to release in the next few months.

Parra is no new name when it comes to sneaker collaborations. The independent Holland-based artist has teamed up with Vans and Nike multiple times in the past, and we now have a look at his latest collaboration with Converse. To celebrate a BBQ event in Berlin that will take place tomorrow, Converse has called upon Parra for a new colorway of their classic high-top model. This pair features a white upper accented by a blue bratwurst image that has “Simply The Wrust” on it. Unfortunately, the Parra x Converse Chuck Taylor High was only made in limited quantities and will be given away to friends and family at the aforementioned BBQ.

California’s favorite skate brand, Vans, recently partnered up with independent artist Parra to produce a limited version of the Era. The vulcanized lowtop draws inspiration from a number of sources, and features Parra’s cursive logo stitched into the tongue to go along with its white/orange/pink/robin’s egg blue color scheme. The term, “Don’t Forget to Skate in These!” is printed onto the model’s sockliner, a byword I wouldn’t mind being attached to all collaborative skate shoes. The Parra x Vans Era will hit retailers early this summer, so stay on the lookout.

These sneakers, the Nike Air Maxim 1, are a slightly modified version of the classic Air Max 1. A modified midsole, flywire technology in the side paneling, along with this Parra-inspired colorway makes this pair extremely interesting. A very clean, spotted midsole works well with the striped laces and stitching throughout the sneakers. The use of suede, mesh, and patent leather gives the shoe extreme style. Vans recently consorted with Holland-based artist Parra to produce three limited versions of classic skate models. The collaboration recently debuted at the BRIGHT fashion showcase in Frankfurt, Germany. Parra drew inspiration for this predominantly white, orange, pink, and powder blue package from memories of boarding as a youth in Europe.
