Brands have been using holidays (large and small) as inspiration for certain sneaker colorways and models. adidas, for example, recently prepared a Superstar II in which to celebrate Christmas. But the shoes pictured here are perhaps a part of a holiday still far away. We bring you shots of a Nike Court Force and Vandal that are rumored as being part of 2010’s Valentine’s Day collection. Both shoes come in a high-top model, with the Court Force upper consisting of both patent leather and plaid. Moreover, the Court Force has a heart sketched onto the tongue- a good indication of the holiday it might be released during. The Vandal also consists of a plaid patterning on both the mid panels and the toe box, with a touch of patent leather lining. If these are in fact part of Nike’s Valentine’s Day collection next year, they definitely stray from the conventional pink/red/white colorways, but is that necessarily a bad thing? In March of last Spring we brought you a look at a Nike Vandal High that was to pay homage to the Michigan Wolverines football team. While some people will like the concept, others the execution, and still others both, at least one online retailer has stocked up on these bad boys and have them available for purchase now. Consisting of patent leather, nubuck, and even a translucent Nike check, this Vandal High is sure to attract both Wolverine fans and non fans alike.

With so many Air Jordan, Dunk, and Air Force 1 news popping up daily, the Vandal might for some have gotten lost in the fray- popping up most memorably/recently in a Batman-inspired makeup. But Nike sure can’t forget. Slated to release as part of Nike’s February 2010 lineup, the Nike Vandal Hi Supreme’s shown here come in vintage nylon material. The first pair comes in an “electric green” colorway with a grey/black strap. The second is designed with a medium grey base and orange/red strap. Both sit atop a sole that is also given a vintage look to complete the package. What are your thoughts on Nike’s most recent “vintage” experiment?

Nike sacralizes Batman with the Nike Vandal High for their Superhero pack. Toned in black/cobalt grey, the shoe features a grey front and middle and black patent rear. The shoe features yellow contrast stitching and a yellow Swoosh. The Nike Vandal High “Batman” is available at a retailer near you but is a kids (GS) exclusive.

The Nike Women’s Vandal High “Triad Straps” is exclusively for those with petite feet. The Vandal features a smooth, textile upper with seamless stitching. The highlight of the shoe, though, are the three interchangeable straps that accompany it–ladies can switch in purple, red, or blue to match their outfit for the day. There’s no word on when the Nike Women’s Vandal High “Triad Straps” will release, but we’ll update here when more information surfaces!
