Every month Nike has a whole lineup of releases to please us sneaker enthusiasts. Today, we have a look at a couple of this months treats, and they come in the form of the Nike Big Nike High and Nike Air Max 90. The Nike Big Nike High takes inspiration from the varsity royal Air Jordan I’s by following the same color scheme; the only difference is the characteristic “Nike” logo printed at the back heel. The Nike AM90 is part of the Nike Rivals pack that has been prevalent this holiday season, and comes in a white/grey/black/red colorway. The upper consists of white mesh, grey nubuck, and red leather, offset by a black premium leather mudguard and red waffle print midsole to keep it classic. Both are available now at select Nike retailers such as Proper LBC.

Just like its Air Max 1 brother, the Nike Air Max 90 is part of the Nike Rivals West Pack, repping Beaverton, Oregon with these white/medium grey/black/anthracite/yellow and white/black/grey/red colorways. The first pair of Nike Air Max 90s uses a black leather mudguard, medium grey mesh toebox and ankle area, and anthracite leather upper. Yellow nicely contrasts the muted colors, giving the shoe some life. The second pair also uses a black leather mudguard, along with black mesh and red accents, making this a nice strong colorway. These AM90s are JD Sports exclusives, and retail for $150 each.

Considering the number of new materials and patterns that have made their way on to Nike iD’s list of customizing options this year, it’s about time that the popular ‘Hufquake’ cracked leather print made its long awaited debut. Like many other featured prints, Hufquake isn’t available on too many models, but the Nike Air Max 90 is certainly a good starting point, the popular sneaker well suited for the jagged print. If running never made you hungry, then you weren’t running hard enough. Nike Sportswear commissioned the likes of eight artists, designers, and the like to give their piece of Nike Sportswear art to showcase at the 1912 Space. Olle Hemmendorff definitely seemed hungry when he constructed his Nike Air Max 90 Hamburger. The upper consists of sesame seed bun, with a cheese covering outlining the swoosh. The laces are also cheesed out with tomatoes as the lace panels. The midsole is where the meat is at, with a tomato as the Air Max logo. Ketchup outlines the Air Max unit in the midsole, and the bottom of the bun serves as the outsole. This is a great piece of art dedicated to NSW, but too bad it doesn’t have a long shelf life.

To represent the South for the Nike Rivals pack, the Nike Air Max 90 comes in a solid black/anthracite colorway. The dark shoe uses a black nubuck and mesh upper, with a black leather mudguard to really give the shoe a premium look. The midsole is donned in anthracite and uses the same waffle design used on the white/varsity maize Nike AM 90’s, and is contrasted by a black outsole. The Nike South tongue tag is outlined in white to really make the text stand out. White laces put a finishing touch on this shoe, which is available now at select retailers for $95.

After a gaudy electric green Nike Air Max 90 Current which is set to release next February, Nike has made a 180 with its latest release of the Nike Air Max 90 Current. The Nike Air Max 90 CT Premium LE comes in a clean black/black-university blue colorway. The upper consists of black leather, black mesh on the toebox, university blue panels, and a black ostrich leather mudguard. The free sole is donned in all black, with university blue around the Air Max unit and on the heel panel. Get your own pair now on Nike, Sneakerhead, or here on eBay for a retail of $120.

Nike is bringing it back to the basics with this release of the Nike Air Max 90 Premium LE. This shoe features a simple black/white-varsity red-varsity blue colorway, using premium leather on the upper along with the classic mesh throughout. Black leather is contrasted nicely by a white leather swoosh to match the midsole, toebox, and side panels, along with a varsity blue mesh inner lining, gold Air Max unit covering, and varsity red laces hole panels. It seems as if this shoe were straight from Nike iD, but it will be available for general retail this coming January.
