Jeremy Scott is no stranger to outlandish designs and crazy footwear, but this collaboration is pretty subdued by his standards.

Scott and adidas have linked up once again, this time on the Nizza Hi.  The sneaker ditches the traditional 3-stripes for a black canvas and sequin-covered upper.  Hits of white can be found on the branding, rubber toecap, and midsole while red stands out on the midsole stripe and outsole.

The Jeremy Scott x adidas Nizza Hi is available now for $130 via adidas Originals retailers like UNDFTD.

Almost a month ago we saw that the adidas brand had added some flavor to the Nizza design with a zipper touch. However, for next year, the adidas Nizza hi lux will be seen in a “giraffe” theme, with a faux-fur upper and D-Ring strap. These are scheduled for a Spring/Summer 2011 release, but certain online retailers have already made them available for pre-order.

Towards the beginning of November, we brought you a look at the rest of the adidas Five Two-3 “City Artist” collection, which included a pair of the Nizza high. Now, we’re able to show you a better look at this sneaker, which was worked on by Fakso- an artist and documentary photographer from Milan. The upper comes in a predominantly black base with very minimal yellow accents, such as on the stripe that circles the entire sneaker and lies between the sole and upper. But the most eye-catching part of this shoe is the collection of subway graphics on the upper. Take a closer look at this particular piece of the Five Two-3 City Artist series after the jump. We kicked off November, partially, by bringing you a closer look at the adidas Five Two-3 Plant Pack. Now, we have another collection from the adidas Five Two-3 campaign known as the “City Artist” collection because a specific artist was chosen to represent their city through the designing of an adidas shoe. Dalek is representing NYC with a pair of Forum mids, London’s Pochoir worked on the Superstar, and France’s KRSN applied his style onto the Stan Smith. Finally, Madsaki represents for Osaka, Japan through the Samba and Fasko does it through the Nizza high. Certain retailers already have all five of these sneakers in stock, so check out pix of the rest of the collection after the jump before deciding whether or not to try and purchase one or all of them.

Slowly but surely, the Adidas Nizza silhouette is becoming more and more popular. Thus, it was a no-brainer to put plaid together with the shoe to make it even more appealing. Now, the Adidas Nizza Hi comes in two plaid colorways: grey/black/white and red/black/white. Both shoes use narrow white vulcanized midsoles, especially for the grey pair, which uses a lighter base. The grey pair uses a grey/black plaid wool upper, whereas the other uses a red/black one. They are nicely contrasted by leather panels and a convenient ankle tab. Each pair is available for about $107 online.
