Nike Basketball is still going strong, releasing new models as well as new colorways for classic models. The latest of the retro regime is the Nike Air Bakin Retro, which comes in a metallic silver/black-purple colorway. The upper consists of metallic silver leather with purple accents on the laces, heel tab, and mini-swooshes. Black contrasts the vibrant silver on the sole, mesh tongue, and netting beneath the metallic silver upper. This might be a bit bright for the court, but these are sure to be great pickups for any basketball shoe collector. More info on the release later on.

We last saw a preview of the Nike Air Safari in the latest black/grey-orange colorway a month ago as part of the Holiday 2009 releases for Nike. Now, we have a closer look at the Nike Air Safari LE in the aforementioned colorway. The Nike Air Safari comes in a holiday-theme-fitting colorway, using a black leather upper with grey elephant print panels and orange contrast stitching throughout the upper. The dark upper is complemented by a black and grey midsole, while offset by a bright orange outsole to spice things up. These Safaris are available now for about $135 online.

It’s been a while since the last Nike Cortez Flymotion was heard about. Well the wait is over, as the Nike Cortez Flymotion gets a classic colorway for the Holiday 2009 season. The Cortez Flymotion comes in a white/red/green colorway, possibly taking inspiration from the Mexican flag colorway that has been used on the Nike Cortez before. The upper uses white flywire technology with a white printed swoosh. Red is placed on the tongue tag and midsole, which sits atop a green Free sole. This Cortez Flymotion is ready for just about anything, from running to just going to the store.

The Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 is definitely marking its presence for Spring 2010, as the colorways keep on coming. This time, the Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 comes in a sweet white/crimson-vivid pink colorway. The shoe uses a full leather and mesh upper in white, with grey suede paneling, along with a crimson leather swoosh. The vivid pink makes its mark on the netted inner lining and tongue. The midsole comes in a combination of white at the toe and grey at the heel, both nicely offsetting the crimson outsole underneath. This pair of runners is set to release along with the other colorways January 2010.

Is there such a thing as luxurious casual wear? Of course there is! Just have Nike team up with French brand A.P.C. once more to create the exact kind of shoe. The A.P.C. x Nike All Court Premium comes in a clean white/black colorway, as opposed to its more colored predecessors. This shoe features a full white cotton canvas upper with a black canvas swoosh. The toe is covered in white rubber for extra protection and the a typical white Nike Blazer midsole is used to add that classic finish. For the real Nikeheads out there, this is a real treat. Nike has released its Nike Ace ‘83 Autoclave model in a modern luxurious colorway. This brown/beige combo really screams luxury, with its brown leather upper and nubuck swoosh. The classic white midsole gives the shoe a casual touch, but the houndstooth print inner lining kills it, making this shoe stand out from the rest. This shoe has a lot of great detail, and is out now at select Nike retailers.

The Nike Cortez is making a definite classic comeback, especially with the October release of the Nike Classic Cortez Leather SI. The Classic Cortez sports full white leather uppers in two colorways: white/midnight navy and white/red. Both use perforated swooshes to keep with what’s popular, and a patterned cut around the lace area.
