2009 is the year to pay homage to the NBA veteran Reggie Miller, as Nike has been retro’ing his Nike Air Total Max Uptempo in various colorways throughout the year, with more to come. Tomorrow, a special Indiana Pacers colorway will release for the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo. The shoe comes in white/obsidian/maize, with a white leather upper and midsole. The white is contrasted by a yellow outsole and translucent Air Max unit. The swoosh is donned in obsidian to match the obsidian pinstripe panel throughout the shoe. Be sure to pay respect to Mr. Miller by copping a pair of these babies tomorrow, September 25th, at House of Hoops.

The Nike Air Max 3, formerly known as the Air Garnett III, is back in action, with the anticipated OG colorway hitting Nike retailers earlier this week. Nearly identical to the original KG signature model, the retro version only lacks the branding of it’s ex-associate, the tongue now displaying the word ‘Basketball’. Check your local Nike shops if you’re interested in grabbing a pair, but keep in mind that the model sports a retail price tag of $140.

Retroes are coming throught this year for Nike, especially with October’s Vandal releases. Two colorways are releasing for the Nike Vandal High Supreme VNTG: new magenta/metallic silver and black/midwest gold-sail. Both Vandals use nylon uppers with metallic silver and gold swooshes, respectively. The two also share black outsoles under whtie midsoles and multicolored ankle straps. These are sure to be great hits for the vintage collection, so be patient to grab your pair next month.

It doesn’t seem as if Nike can come out with any color that’d look bad on the Air Foamposite’s. We already know that next year another one comes out sporting a copper upper. It now seems that the second signature Penny Hardaway Nike shoe is also getting done up in a similar way. The Nike Air Penny II pictured here, however, actually comes in a predominantly black upper that boasts nubuck, leather, and foam material. And the copper is kept to a subtle minimum with accents around the sole and lining the upper. It is still unknown whether or not these will be a general release, but you can rest assured we’ll report any updates. For now, which of the “copper” Nike Air Penny’s discussed here looks better? The Blazers keep coming as its popularity grows even more, as Nike has released a new colorway for the women’s Blazer. The Nike Blazer Mid ND Women’s comes in a sweet orion blue/orion blue-red plum-black colorway. The upper consists of orion blue polyester and leather, along with red plum accenting above the white midsole. Black makes an appearance on the inner lining to contrast all the bright colors. The outsole is fitted in mint to give it some unique style. This Blazer is available now for $85.

Recent news concerning the Nike Hyperize includes a low-top cut of the basketball sneaker slated to release next summer. But now we have more time sensitive information regarding the Nike Hyperize. In celebration of two overseas House of Hoops locations- London & Paris- Nike is set to release two Nike Hyperize’s that each draw inspiration from the aforementioned cities’ local basketball team. The “London Capital” Nike Hyperize sports a predominantly sky blue upper with navy blue and white accents, while the “Paris Levallois” pair sports a predominantly “blue sapphire” upper with red and white accents. It is rather fitting that in an effort to celebrate the opening of these two new House of Hoops locations that a third, and arguably bigger city, be the venue in which the material manifestations of this celebration go on sale. TOMORROW, Thursday September 24, 2009 is when these two pairs of Nike Hyperize’s will drop at the Harlem House of Hoops in New York City. Get your funds right!

Nike brings their Air Alpha Force II back in one of its most popular OG colorways. Worn by Sir Charles back when he laced up for Philadelphia, the model utilizes the classic 76ers Red/White/Varsity Blue color scheme. Nearly identical to the version released back in 1988, the new retro edition features Barkley’s number, 34, on the heel panel. The nostalgic model is available now from House of Hoops locations.
