WNBA superstar and women’s basketball legend Lisa Leslie pays homage to the “Think Pink” campaign with this unique version of the Nike Bluechip II (2). “Think Pink” brings breast cancer awareness to others in hopes of offering support to sufferers and raising money to find possible cures. The ‘Chip is toned in varsity purple/yellow/white to match up with Leslie’s LA Sparks uniform. White stitching around the collar provides a nice level of added support. Pink accents can be found around the shoe’s ankle, stitched into the Swoosh emblem, and on the Air Max unit embedded in the heel. Several months ago LeBron James hosted the King City Classic in Akron, Ohio. The all-star game, featuring many of the world’s brightest young basketball talents, received its own Nike Basketball PE (Player Exclusive). More particularly, this all-patent Nike Zoom Soldier III (3) in black/varsity red/old gold was given to the game’s participants. The shoe features Zoom Air underneath and two midfoot straps for a ride that’s comfortable and supportive enough for a King. The Nike Zoom Soldier III (3) King City Classic PE will stay unreleased for now, but never count out a House of Hoops limited drop down the road!

Earlier this year, we previewed the Nike Hypermax NFW (No Flywire), and we now have the corresponding U.S. release information to share. The “Tennis Ball” Pack, composed of the varsity red, comet blue, and neon yellow colorways of the Hypermax NFW, is scheduled to release at select Nike Basketball retailers this weekend. All three sneakers host a tennis ball inspired felt material on the upper while the swoosh, strap, and sole are all coated in white. As previously mentioned the Nike Hypermax NFW is expected to release at retailers on August 22, 2009.

Just as we were starting to think that Nike was beginning to stray away from the Zoom Kobe IV in favor of the newer Zoom Kobe V, images of a rather appealing colorway of the high performance basketball shoe have brought the shoe back into the spotlight. Similar to the Playoff Pack colorway we saw earlier in the year, the model utilizes a black and white upper, but forgoes the customary splash of Lakers blood featured in most of Kobe’s signature shoes. Few details about the model are known,  but word on the street is that we could be facing a limited release. Keep your eyes peeled for more information to come.

This White/Midnight Navy Nike Air Max Uptempo is beginning to hit select Nike accounts nationwide. The ’90s basketball shoe is often connected to Reggie Miller, Tim Duncan and Vince Carter, who rocked the Max Uptempo when he played at UNC. We previewed the Nike Hyperdunk Eggplant and Metallic Gold in June and are now able to report that the high-performance Nike Basketball shoe is available at select accounts nationwide. Both shoes incorporate a metallic finish on the toebox and feature black leather uppers. The Nike Hyperdunk Eggplant and Metallic Gold are on the shelves at Nike Stores around the nation.
