Details are everything with customs shoes, and my God did Astrotorf Customs do an amazing job with these TMNT themed Jays! In the past, we showed you a pair of the Ninja Turtles AJ3 customs by fellow Artistic Soles member, Kickstradomis, and now we’re getting another pair to add to the team’s portfolio. The Air Jordan VI (6) “TMNT” customs by Astrotorf Customs make use of green and brown tones inspired by the live action Ninja Turtles movie. Astrotorf went for the darker tones to incorporate the realistic aesthetic of the mutant teenagers. Olive green sweeps across the front of the shoes, while metallic bronze graces the rear in a shell pattern. Brown zips across the midfoot panels and throughout the midsoles, with the mudguard dons red, orange, purple, or blue accents, stemming from their masks. The outsoles have glow in the dark capabilities, which is a raging trend in the sneaker community right now! Each Jumpman present on the shoes represents a different turtle. Astrotorf went all out with the detailing, even incorporating light tan on the midsole and tongues to represent the ankle and knee wraps that each of the turtles wear while fighting crime. Hats off to Astrotorf for these customs! What do you guys think of these customs?
