The Vans 106 has already helped create some sneaker buzz, being used by the brand to help celebrate the life and career of rocker Iggy Pop. Today, we show you another Vans 106 that uses pure purple canvas along the upper, as opposed to the aforementioned pair’s use of black leather. This colorways’ vulcanized sole comes in white, and purple piping finishes it off. But, if you take a look inside, you’ll also find a turqouise insole that will at least remind us of the grape 5s. Could this purple sneaker design be in your future this year?

The latest bit of Spring 2012 news regarding the Vans brand revolved around the Style 31 model from the California line. Today, we get a look at one of the first commemorative projects from Vans. The design team is using the vulcanized version of the Vans 106 pictured here in an all-black colorway to help celebrate the life and career of popular rockstar Iggy Pop. This shoe will also come with a special embossed logo on the tongue. Stay tuned for more developing news as it surfaces.

Just last week we showed you two pairs of the Vans Half Cab that together made up a “Chambray” pack. Today, we show you two pairs of the Vans 106 in almost the exact same colorway and make up that together make their own Chambray pack. Pictured here is the Vans 106 in black/white and blue/white with tonal chambray uppers. Both are part of the brand’s Spring 2011 sneaker season and can be picked up from participating retailers now.

Vans Vault will be debuting the Sierra edition of their signature 106 sneaker next month. As part of this treatment, the 106 will come standard with metal lace hoops reminiscent of a pair of boots as well as new cord laces. The three colorways releasing in March are grey, black, and charcoal. All three styles feature a white vulcanized sole that give the sneaker a classy and clean look. As part of their Classics campaign, Vans is releasing the Grey Pack for Spring 2010. The pack consists of four all-canvas sneakers that all feature a simple grey, white & black colorway. The sneakers in the pack are the Vans Authentic, 106, Chukka & Sk8-High. The Authentic comes in an all-grey upper. The 106 is also grey, but features black piping & laces. The Chukka has grey side panels and a black toebox & tongue. The Sk8-High also comes in all-grey and has stitched side-paneling. They all sport a clean look for the spring. They’re available through select Vans retailers now.

Last year Vans paid homage to Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York with a City Pack that consisted of different Vans sneaker silhouettes. This year, the brand is back at it again. This time around, the Spanish city of Barcelona gets a blue/red/white Vans Old Skool and Old Skool mid. Philadelphia gets light grey pairs of the 106 and Half Cab silhouettes. Last but not least, California’s San Diego has a brown/yellow/white pair of the Vans Era to represent with. You can find this 2010 Vans City Pack now at select skate/Vans sneaker spots.

The latest collaboration between New York’s Supreme and Vans to come about is the Supreme x Vans 106 pack. The pack consists of four colorways for the Vans 106 model: black, orange, and two camo colorways. The black and orange pairs use all suede uppers in their respective colorways, while the camo pairs use canvas uppers. All four shoes come complete with white midsoles, red insoles, and cross-stitched back heel panels. These Vans will make a Black Friday release, November 27th, and will release in Japan the next day.
