In September we brought you word of two possible Nike Air Safari ‘87 retro releases slated for the 2009 holiday season. And, as we always promise and love doing, we can now follow-up on that news and relate to our fans and readers that a pair of the Nike Air Safari ‘87 will indeed be retroed in a black/orange/safari print colorway and release on December 1. Moreover, there is a neon yellow stitching along parts of the upper that now accompanies the shoe and adds a subtle twist to the classic silhouette. The Nike Big Nike has made a ravenous comeback in 2009. Part of the reason is the fact that the Nike team is releasing the silhouette in a lot of attractive materials and colorways. A pair of the Nike Big Nike sporting black elephant print is a wonderful example of how Nike is getting people on board of the Nike Big Nike bandwagon. Now, another pair of the Nike Big Nike shoe is preparing for a Black Friday release. Pictured here is the shoe in a black/metallic silver colorway, which is bound to remind many of us of the Oakland Raiders colors. Although no official ties exist between the team and this sneaker release, it is somewhat ironic that the shoe drop in this colorway the day after the Raiders play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. Again, these will be releasing on Friday November 27, 2009 from House of Hoops locations nationwide. How many of you hope to snag a pair?

The Nike Dynasty High is definitely getting a couple good releases for the Holiday 2009 season. Today, we have a look at the Nike Dynasty High in a black/grey/orange colorway. The Dynasty High uses a predominantly black suede upper with black leather accents, offset by a metallic silver swoosh, grey midsole, and orange outsole. The bright orange tones make this retro shoe stand out at the ankle, where the “Nike” logo is printed, and at the tongue. The striped strap also makes this a stylish vintage remake. With the last preview of the Nike Air Trainer SC set for Holiday 2009, Nike has also released another colorway for the iconic model. The Nike Air Trainer SC Retro comes in a black/green-white colorway. The shoe uses an all black leather upper, contrasted by green on the swoosh, tongue, and air unit. The black upper is separated from the black outsole by a white midsole, which adds a nice piece of flare to the shoe. The Nike Air Trainer SC Retro is set to release early 2010.

The last Nike Dynastys to release were given some colorful mockups. This month, Nike has released the Nike Dynasty High LE Quickstrike in an all-grey colorway. Don’t single it out as dull though, as its all grey leather upper makes for a clean pair of retro Nikes, especially with its white midsole and grey ankle strap. A red Nike logo at the back heel gives the shoe some surprising contrast to this two-toned shoe. These Dynastys are available now at 21 Mercer in limited numbers.

Finally, Nike has released a detailed look of the Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 Berlin edition. The Berlin Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 celebrates twenty years of Berlin’s culture. The Pegasus ‘89 is the perfect shoe for the occasion, given the collapse of the Berlin Wall twenty years ago. The shoe uses a mixed colorway including black, grey, purple, and white, utilizing suede, leather, mesh, and even a speckled swoosh. “Berlin 89″ is stitched at the back to represent the iconic moment in history, and is also printed on the purple insole. “Berlin” makes its name on the lace plate to finish off this symbolic shoe. The shoe will be released December 4th at select Nike quickstrike retailers, and is limited to a 510 pair release.
