For some, the admiration for Kanye West’s original Nike Air Yeezy series from 2008 will never die. What influenced both sneaker and fashion culture on various levels, the OG model similarly opened the door to the Nike Air Yeezy 2 series and customs alike.

Here lies nostalgia at its finest as custom sneaker designer Maggi reworks a Nike Air Yeezy 2 in OG “Net/Net” colors. As we look more closely, Maggi has replaced original python counters with smooth leather materials, and has added perforated leather toe boxes as a replacement to factory mesh panels. Impressive? Flawless? Immaculate? Yes, that and more! Better question: Should Nike have added this colorway to the AY2 line up?
