He’s the man behind high-fashion powerhouse Chanel, Italian-made Fendi, and his own brand, however, that doesn’t stop him from being sued by Boston-based footwear brand New Balance. All in all, designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld is in hot water for allegedly infringing the design of a New Balance sneaker.
The lawsuit points out that Lagerfeld’s supposed $370 designer trainer jacks New Balance for its classic block lettering, i.e. “K” and “N” branding appear too similar. But really, does this lawsuit stand a chance in the court or will it be dropped and forgotten?
