Some 18 years ago the LA Gear brand began a campaign that would not soon be forgotten. And for those of you who happen to have just started to forget, or for those of you who are young and oblivious enough to not know, SneakerFiles now brings you word of LA Gear’s intentions to smack us across the face (or, well, feet) with the reminder of a lifetime. The LA Gear Lights was the single most popular silhouette that LA Gear had to offer us, and it returns this holiday season in at least seven colorways.

Although not officially scheduled to release until December 12th, Sportie LA will make available a limited number of pairs via their online website at 11:59pm on Thanksgiving night, November 26, 2009. This should curb a lot of people’s appetites who are impatiently waiting to get the ball rolling on Black Friday shopping AND allow you enough time to go visit the other shops you’ve been eyeing all along. Just in time for the holiday season, this historical shoe in sneaker culture comes back and offers you a way of lighting up your own path and brightening up the place wherever it is you might be headed. Who’s excited to get another crack at once again (or for the first time) owning a pair of the LA Gear Lights that were such a big part of the childhood of so many of us?

  1. CALM DOWN YOU SKINNY JEANED EMO's!!!! I like the thought of these making a come back. But somethings should remain just that a thought… I'm a grown up now and these ain't as fire as the ones I had as a kid. We had the option of removing the light. IMAGINE ME A JORDAN FOAMPOSITE HEAD WITH LA GEARS IN 2009!!!! I would get murdered with jokes. Bet ya emo's wish the yeezy's had lights.

  2. Idc wat nobody else thinks if I wear suttin. . .Never did but it's like imma lil too old for lights n my kix they should release these without lights for tha adults. I also wanna see the Micheal Jackson kix get retroed. But they should be quickstrike cuz not errbody gon understand em except for the few true sneaker heads that are left.

  3. Esto gotta point, the OG's had option of removing the lights. And I agree, I couldnt imagine myself rocking kicks with lights in em now, too old. I still see kids with the fake ones today. Nevertheless, would not diss anyone busting these – DO YO THANG!

  5. damn these are ugly! i wouldnt mind the old school ones with the removable lights (i had the white/blue with the yellow lights) but i dont think they can due to them beign defective and were a risk to shock you in the foot lmao! but i def wont be seen in one of these retros

Quand vous voulez un cours de francais a Toulouse si les notes que vous avez eu ne sont pas terribles ou alors pour la simple raison que vous avez pris du retard au lycee, venez nous voir a soutien scolaire Toulouse..!
