Yesterday we did a feature on the Nike Kobe 9 EM “Philippines”; today we follow up on that article with the story behind the basketball sneaker. What we failed to mention in our previous post is the influence of the “barangay courts” – that is where Filipinos from all over come together and celebrate their love of the game. The painted courts serve as the focal point of the design.
