Something about hearing Jordan Brand news makes you feel good, even if the information is bad. BKRW sat down with Gentry Humphrey, who is the Jordan Brand footwear director and discussed some of the future of Jordan Brand. Gentry has confirmed it himself, the Air Jordan line will stop at 23! But will continue to release team models. Also some interesting news on the Jordan Retro line, so sit back and enjoy the show.

  1. I think by makin it hard to buy retros from 2008- is stupid and bad marketing skills. because people won't buy those team models, that's why u see a whole bunch of them on the shelves.

  2. I disagree with people buying the team models. Big Fund did pretty well and so did some others.

If they are still on the shelves its because of over production, not because there isn't allot of demand.

Now lets talk about the Air Jordan XX2. Some areas it is sold out, but in other areas there is plenty in stock and hardly anyone is wearing them (in some places they are on sale)

  3. stupid idea making it hard to buy retros its the only thing they got going for them the new shoes they make now are rubish… i dont want no team shoes or spizikes

  4. i see what they re sayin by making retros more unique and if u got sum ur lucky but i don't think i got enuff retros 2 satisfy me until they relese them again in a few years or wuteva they said…smart ending the air jordans at 23 who would want a 24?

  5. NICE VIDEO………… NO MORE RETROS AFTER 2008!!!!! I FEEL SORRY FOR THOZ PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE ANY HEAT………… LOOKING FOWARD THOSE PACKAGES………PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Terrible, terrible, terrile. What is this world coming to? Absolute complete blasphemy, that's what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. This hella dumb. Yea nobody buys team J's. we jus want retros. The jus wanna put even more hype on their shoes. this is so dumb. i jus started buys J's too. First pair was Greenbeans. This is weak.

  8. Dezziboo I don't know how old your are but damn it sure sucks for you, but look on the bright side though. You can buy older shoes that will cost more money and be alot more rare like the early retros, and on top of that Jordan Brand was running out of ideas with retros any ways so I'm glad that he finally put a rest to the retros especially after seeing some of the colors for the retro 8s.

  9. FIRST OFF THERE IS A BLACKCAT SPIZ’IKE AND PURE$ SPIZ’IKE AND I HAVE THEM IN ALL SIZES IF YOU ARE INTERESTED I WILL SEND YOU PICS OF BOTH SHOES AND YOU CAN ORDERED THEM FROM ME MY E-MAIL IS MICHAELMACK23@HOTMAIL.COM AND LEAVE ME A MAIL I WILL RETURN IT SOON AND YOU CAN HAVE YOUR SPIZ’IKES IN ADVANCE. P.S I ALSO HAVE JORDAN SPIZ'IKE KING COUNTY'S ALL SIZES.

  10. It's really sad to see the end of an era. I think it's a great idea to make it harder to get Retro Jordans. I know almost everyone whose had a pair of Jordans has seen soebody rocking them all wrong, just disrepecting the shoe.

  11. Technically your average sneakerhead will look past the Team Jordans and only cop Retro or current Air Jordan releases.

However, your average consumer will purchase whatever is left on the shelves, ie: those Team Jordans that sneakerheads don't want.

I work at a school and all I see kids wearing are Team Elite II's, B-Loyals, etc. So to say Team Jordans aren't selling is an understatement.

I'm glad that the line will stop at 23, as for future retros, oh well, I can hunt down OG's and older retros that were built with better quality.

    Just my 2 cents.

  12. R da jordan aqua 8 og's? I know the black-white-true jordan 8 are og's. one thing for sure I will be getting 10 pairs of the aquas and the bred's. After December 07 when the bred 8's release, I'm done. The eights is the best jordans ever.

  13. i just want him to keep making retro cause if he doen't no one will rock them theyll keep um on ice for da money its sad but its lebrons time to shine so please jb make retros

  14. Im happy theyre ending it 23 because 22s sucked, 21s sucked, 20s, sucked, 19s ok. In other words JB is going down the drain. But it pisses me off that they are gonna make retro's harder to get and make you go after OG's nd older retro's. I mean thats great for colection purposes but I wear my jordans(but i take real good care of them) and the old OG's and old retros arent wearable so your gonna spend $300 plus on OG's and most likely not gonna be able to wear em. I dont mind jus collecting the jordans but id rather get a few light wears out of them then no wears at all. So please JB keep the retro production flowing nicely. Why not jus make more LS or Jumpman23.com exclusives rather than limiting the GR's;

  15. Design and specs description of the XIII's sound like they're heading towards designing another FREE MOTION shoe…a.k.a ZOOM KOBE II

  16. Scare Tactic.

Don't fall for it. Obviously sales are down for this brand due to lacklustre, half-assed and derivative products. What better way to engineer demand than by threatening to cut its supply?

Why would Nike discontinue an iconic product? Would it make any sense to kill a cash cow that is the Air Jordan? As long as people want to buy it, Nike (not this guy) will keep on making it.

    C.R.E.A.M.

Chevrolet would never kill the Corvette, RayBan would never kill the Aviator and Nike would never kill the Air Jordan.

I hope that beyond the XXIII will be a new era as well as a return. Bring the new, the latest, the greatest but also return the focus to premium performance, innovation and leading design. Enough retro already, stop whoring the classics, drop all the whiz-ack garbage, "exclusive, limited or regional" gimmicks and .5 cop outs.

Put the spotlight on athletes of character like Jeter and Ray Allen and find the new crop of talent with as much or more character. Above all, let's have someone running the show that is not short sighted, has no vision and demands to lead the industry and not flood it with low quality, derivative and uninspirational crap (ie. Retro XI Low, Womens Black patent colorway).

The Air Jordan will continue – with this guy or without him. My vote is for the latter, as the ship has almost been run aground ….

    Enough retro already. Demand more.
