brooklyn-art-project-air-force-1-splash-art-by-ecentrik-artistryMoving right along onto the second shoe in the Brooklyn Art Project by Ecentrik Artistry, we’re getting a new Brooklyn tribute sneaker that was inspired a trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

The Brooklyn Art Project: Air Force 1 “Splash Art” by Ecentrik Artistry see splashes of bright yellow throughout, with vivid pink accents near the rear. The idea for this shoe came to Ecentrik after seeing a painting displayed in an area near the BBG. The concept continued to grow in his head, until he had to get the concept set in motion.

The idea had been stuck in my head afterwards so I went home and immediately began working on a template design, knowing what shoe I wanted to use and all.  I took the template design, finalized a color scheme, and when the time came to start the work, I grabbed the chosen base shoe (the classic Nike Air Force 1) and got to work.

These customs receive the “Splash Art” nickname because of the ink-resembling, black lines seen all over the shoes. A black Nike Swoosh makes a strong appearance on the midfoot panel. Extra bonuses with these kicks are the engraved “Ecentrik Artistry” lace locks, and #BKLYN tongue tags, as well as a black “#BKLYN” t-shirt. Keep scrolling for more shots of the shoes, and if you’re wanting to cop you a pair of the AF1 “Splash Art” customs by Ecentrik Artistry, visit his online shop now!
