We Run Warsaw Settles the Competition Between Left and Right Riverbank Runners

The Nike challenge between Warsaw’s left and right riverbanks came to a finish this weekend when thousands of runners flooded the city center to log their final 10K for the Left or Right running team.

The friendly competition announced in August was designed to fuel the training period before race day. Throughout the journey runners competed to log more miles, discover the best urban running routes, and upload the most creative pictures using a special Facebook application and Nike+ Running services.

Finally on race day it was a time to find out which team was fastest. The Left team completed the 10K race 10 seconds faster than the Right team with an average time of 56:17, however, the Right team proved to be tougher logging in 11,467 km with training and race day runs comparing to 11,017 km generated by the Left.

The Nike+ Running Club training, digital challenges and We run Warsaw experiences connected over 12,000 runners in Warsaw, contributing to  the global Nike WE RUN race series, hitting 34 cities, 17 countries, and connecting 400,000 runners.
