The Debut: Arch Athletics The Status

ARCH Athletics (Athletes Require Competition & Heart) is the athletic offshoot of CCB Sports Network’s founding father, Chris Burns. The Status, a fashion-friendly shoe that can crossover into the park, is the first model to release from the blossoming Memphis brand. Distinguished by a perforated upper and synthetic leather overlays, the Stat is supportive enough to compliment the ratchet you developed with some wintertime seasonsing and a superb choice for cooling out afterwards. Cushioning comes in by way of polyurethane gel sockliners and TPU shock absorbers embedded in the midsole. What do you think of ‘The Status’? Via: Bounce.

  1. if these were nikes, j's, adidas, etc. youd be like oh shit im coppin. but they arnt name brand so theyre "fake IIIs"

  2. fromthe Bahamas is also wrong, thats the sole from the 2's, other than that she shoes are rough im not seein anyone gettin em.

  3. Okay these were the first batch of shoes straight from the manufacturer. I have since redesigned and trimmed some of the fat off of the shoe. As a new brand it is difficult to get it right the first time because of the cost but I think any press is good press. If you look at the mock drawings now the side panel has changed and I have cut the toe material down to change that "senior citizen" look. I also increased the height to make it more of a mid. I know it is hard to compare when Nike is so dominant, but I think the shoe is alright. I will admit I was heavily influenced by the Jordan 2,3 and 4 as well as the Cheifglider, but the changes will make the shoe stand alone. I had a new technology but the cost was incredible so I stuck with the Jordan 2 outsoles, I plan on using that in the near future. At least I didn't use the AF1 outsole which is what most new companies do. Anyway, your comments are important and I will respond accordingly. @ athomas, they are rough, but everything takes time. I could either give up or keep pushing. I don't have any quit in me so I will try to catch people one at a time.
