Jordan Brand will be releasing three limited colorways of the popular Air Jordan XX3 tomorrow as a “Black Friday” release. Thanksgiving is finally here and we all know what comes the day after Thanksgiving—Black Friday. Deemed as one of the largest shopping turnouts of the year, this year’s Black Friday will host a variety of colorways of Air Jordan XX3 to choose from. The first of these colorways is the Black / Varsity Red – White colorway which represents Michael Jordan’s days as a Chicago Bull in which he won six NBA championships. This colorway features a varsity red midsole and a white toebox alongside the patented Air Jordan XX3 (23) pattern seen on the side of the sneaker. These will be today, November 28, 2008, at select Air Jordan retailers.

Though this colorway of the Air Jordan XX3 (23) was originally thought to be inspired by Jordan Motorsports, we soon were informed of the fact that this colorway actually originates from the Washington Wizards’ jerseys. During his two year stint as a Washington Wizard, Jordan had his ups and downs, but the one thing we know for sure is that it highly influenced who he is today. Paying tribute to the Washington Wizards and how well they embraced MJ, Jordan Brand will be releasing this pair alongside the other two colorways of the Air Jordan XX3 (23) in limited qualities as a Black Friday release. Chris Paul is not only one of the elite point guards in the NBA, he is also one of the few players that keeps a fresh sneaker game on and off the courts. A couple days ago, the New Orleans Hornets faced off against the Sacramento Kings at the New Orleans Arena. After warm-ups were completed and the players had taken the court, many at home stared at their TV screens in awe at what Chris Paul was wearing. Though seeing Chris Paul in a pair of Jordan Player exclusives is not something new, we have yet to see anybody in the NBA wear a colorway of the Jordan XX3 that can be compared to these. Featuring a white upper with carolina blue accents, this colorway is on point when it comes to matching them with the New Orleans Hornets’ jerseys.
