The latest addition to Bape’s Winter 2009 collection comes in the form of three new colorways of their hiking boot, the Bape Mountain Soldier. Featuring models in Black and Brown leather as while as Beige suede, the boot is completed by its well thought-out detail work, most notably, its two-tone sole and white contrast stitching. The use of striped laces gives the model just the right about of pop, especially when paired with D-Ring lacestays. All three colorways of the Mountain Soldier Boot are available now from select Bape retailers.

German sportswear brand Puma continues their ongoing work with Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro to create a bold collection of high-tops for the tail end seasons of 2009. The collection features models utilizing the rarely mixed prints of polka dot and animal skin, along with some more basic color blocked sneakers. Whether you deem the collection fashion forward or not,  the unique contrast it makes when compared to the coming fall releases from other footwear giants is hard to deny. Although there wasn’t a lot of excitement surrounding the most recent Nike RT1 High announcement, a more balanced earth-tone colorway of the ‘Un-Yeezy’ is set to release this winter. Featuring a Wheat suede upper, Chocolate Brown heel collar, and red-orange laces/outsole accents, the model is brought together nicely with a neutral oatmeal midsole. The boot-like colorway should be hitting Nike retailers this December, with an expected retail price of $95.

The Nike Air Trainer SC has not released in many colorways this year, but it seems as though Nike will be bringing the classic silhouette back later this year. This Oakland Raiders’ inspired colorway hosts a black leather upper with grey accents seen on the mid-sole, paneling, lace region, and tongue. The Vans 106 is a simple low-top model that is neither extremely popular nor hugely unique, but is still nonetheless a solid skate sneaker. For their Winter 2009 collection, Vans is releasing the 106 in two simple tonal colorways. The first style hosts a purple upper with a white mid-sole, white laces, and white inner lining, while the second pair yields a brown upper with similar white accents. Both variations feature corduroy on the sidepanels while suede can be found on the tongue and toebox. Both versions of the “Corduroy” Vans 106 will be available in Winter ‘09.

Today, we have our first look at two pairs of the Reebok Omni Lite that are both set to drop this Winter ‘09. The first pair from this Winter Pack hosts a grey mesh and leather upper with a white midsole and laser blue accents seen on the laces, sole, and stitching. The second style of the Omni Lite features a brown upper with sap green and white accents. Both variations well represent the colder weather ahead and are definitely worth checking out as the release date nears.
