After seeing a preview of the Commes Des Garcons Play x Converse Chuck Taylor Pack, the four-pack shoe has finally released. The pack consisting of black and white Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi’s and Lo’s marks the ongoing “Play” collection by Japanese brand Comme Des Garcons. The trademark heart symbol is featured on one side panel of each shoe as well as on the insole. Of course, the shoes use an all-canvas upper to keep it clean and classic. These CDG Chucks are available now online for a hefty price of about $145 each.

Earlier today, we showcased the “big man” follow up to the Nike Hyperdunk, and we now present to you the Nike Hyperize which is essentially a guard’s sneaker. The Nike Hyperize will release in two new colorways during August and September. The August release features a black upper with sapphire and white accents while the September release hosts a toned down colorway of a white upper with black accents. The Nike Hyperize is quite technologically savvy with its zig-zag flywire upper, lunar foam midsole, and its flywire mid-foot support system. Please note that both pairs are only samples, and thus have the original development name “Hyperlite” on the ankle rather than the sneaker’s actual name,”Hyperize.”

Many sneakerheads have already started referring to 2009 as the year of the Air Jordan I (1) simply due to the plethora of AJ1 releases we have seen over the course of the past few months. Earlier in the month, Jordan Brand rolled out the the first installment of their polka dot series, and it is almost time for the second installment to drop. This time around, the Air Jordan 1 is being decked out in a black upper with a clean white midsole and laser blue accents seen on the stitching, outsole, polka dots, and the Air Jordan Wings logo on the ankle. Alife has come up with two new colorways to follow up with the previous release of the Alife Everybody Mid Parachute Nylon Grid Pack. This time around, the Everybody’s are in red/white and white/black/yellow, for everybody to enjoy. The uppers are made of nylon and follow a parachute all-over design in the aforementioned colors. Both shoes use black vulcanized toecaps, white midsoles, and yellow tongue tags that read “alife new york city.”

The latest release of Nike’s hybrid project is the Nike Terminator High Hybrid LE in sax/purple/white and black/grey/pink. The Nike Terminator infuses elements of Nike ACG products to include a free sole and Clima-Fit material. Aside from the earlier hybrids which were featured in earth-tone colorways, this Terminator stands out not only by its distinct model, but by its array of colors as well. The first pair essentially uses a white leather upper, white midsole, purple printed swoosh, sax yellow stitching, and turquoise panels throughout the shoe. The second uses a black and grey upper with a white midsole, turquoise stitching, and pink print swoosh. This shoe is perfect for Terminator fans who’d rather have them off the court, especially at a price of about $140.

After the preview we gave you last time, we have another update on the Nike Air Max 1 Premium Quickstrike Brazil. The Nike Air Max 1 features a colorful array of materials, including a suede toe area and side panel, mesh toebox, premium leather heel, patent swoosh, mesh inner lining, and translucent sole. The key features of the shoe are the Brazil-colored Nike tongue tag, ankle area, and heel panel, which reads “…Esta Manis No Mesmo Lugar” in print. The midsole uses birch accents along it to portray a weathered look that is usually achieved by walking around. The sneakers were created to pay homage to Brazil based website SneakersBR for their 2nd Anniversary. This Air Max 1 is available now for about $165.

For Summer 2009, Puma has come up with the Puma R-968 Mesh Limited Edition Pack, which consists of the R-968 model in three different colorways. The shoes feature combinations of white/sax/black/orange, white/red, and black/grey/white. The R-968 promises to be a breakthrough Puma model, using mesh material all throughout the shoe, along with suede and speckled panels, and other staple textiles. The intensity of the first colorway marks the presence of the Reebok-like model, with the following of two simple yet clean colorways. Also, the shoe uses Trinomic technology for ultimate performance, and showcases the Trinomic name on the back heel panel and midsole. The best characteristic of the shoe is the sole, which features a translucent bolt along the middle of the sole, showcasing the “soul” of the shoe.
