Designed to commemorate the MAD Ollie Music Festival, the low-top sneaker features a Black suede upper, contrast stitching, tongue and insole graphics, checkered midsole, and Red midsole stripe. Don’t let the hype about the HUF x Vans Old Skools take away from the limelight of the real old Old Skools. Vans is releasing the Vans Old Skool ‘92 LX as a reissue, which pro-skater Ray Barbee rocked back in the day. The shoe features a light tone allover, from the white and tan upper to the white midsole. The Vans stripe is donned in black leather to match the black laces and black midsole stripe. These are definitely some clean classics that will be big in the coming weeks. These will sell for $80 and will be available very soon.

While the latest Vans news we brought you included a pair of Sk8-Hi’s and Half Cab’s, so many Vans styles lend themselves to being modeled by others. In this case, they’re just straight up re-worked. The HUF crew has added its own style to these three pairs of Vans Old Skool’s, which will release specifically from HUF flagship stores starting this October 17th, 2009. Releasing in black, dark blue, and red colorways, these all sit atop a completely white sole and possess hints of HUF’s personal touches in places like the heel, inside sole, and along the entire midsole in the form of a triangular pattern. Lately, Vans has been reaching into its extensive archives for inspiration and the occasional re-issue. Earlier this summer, we previewed the Fall 2009 collection known as the “Off The Wall Pack,” which is an impressive package of re-issues from some of the company’s earliest sneakers. The pack includes  Slip-Ons, Eras, Old Skool ’77s and Mid Skool ’77s in suede/canvas combos and vibrant colorways that were popular back in the day, such as the Classic Blue/Gold Slip-Ons, Gold/Green Old Skools, and Blue/White Mid Skools. No detail was left out, including a retro treatment on the box design – as you can see. Of course, all of the sneakers feature the Vans patented waffle soles. After seeing the Vans x Solebox Old Skool in a few pictures, we’ve come up with a few more for your viewing pleasure. These Vans are set to release May 2nd, only a few days away, at a price of 70 Euros, or about $93 for you Americans. If you haven’t seen the previous post about this collabo Old Skool, then remember that these shoes are made from a special houndstooth print material and feature small details like the dove on the tongue and the Solebox logo printed on the insole. So get ready to camp for these limited release shoes!
