From the looks of things, Vans has big plans for the near future. It definitely plans to catch the attention of many with the LX Pack- but it has no intentions of stopping there. Teaming up with Japanese retailer Flauge, Vans is preparing to drop another pack- this time consisting of a Sk8 Hi and an Era. Both shoes sport a navy blue and yellow colorway, with white accents seen most notably on the completely white sole Vans has become somewhat known for. With a rumored release date that is quickly approaching, make sure to stay on top of your local Vans retailers in order to disallow one or both of these shoes from slipping away.

Vans Off The Wall

Lately, Vans has been reaching into its extensive archives for inspiration and the occasional re-issue. Earlier this summer, we previewed the Fall 2009 collection known as the “Off The Wall Pack,” which is an impressive package of re-issues from some of the company’s earliest sneakers. The pack includes  Slip-Ons, Eras, Old Skool ’77s and Mid Skool ’77s in suede/canvas combos and vibrant colorways that were popular back in the day, such as the Classic Blue/Gold Slip-Ons, Gold/Green Old Skools, and Blue/White Mid Skools. No detail was left out, including a retro treatment on the box design – as you can see. Of course, all of the sneakers feature the Vans patented waffle soles. The shoes are available from Vans and select Vans retailers.

Parra x Vans Era

California’s favorite skate brand, Vans, recently partnered up with independent artist Parra to produce a limited version of the Era. The vulcanized lowtop draws inspiration from a number of sources, and features Parra’s cursive logo stitched into the tongue to go along with its white/orange/pink/robin’s egg blue color scheme. The term, “Don’t Forget to Skate in These!” is printed onto the model’s sockliner, a byword I wouldn’t mind being attached to all collaborative skate shoes. The Parra x Vans Era will hit retailers early this summer, so stay on the lookout.
