To the dismay of sneakerheads and  even just Miami Heat fans, the cancellation of the Nike Lebron PS “Finals” Edition really gives a “what if” effect. Nike had released a statement that read, “This new colorway of the LEBRON 8 PS will be available at limited retailers.” with the intention of releasing this “Finals” Edition if only LeBron James and the Miami Heat had won the NBA Finals back in June. It’s great to see the would of, should of, and could of, in the sneaker game. Like this Air Jordan XX (20) Low sample from 2005, which rocks a black/chartreuse-light graphite colorway. This AJ XX is reminiscent of the Air Jordan XIV (14) in the exact same colorway. This dark shoe features a black on black design, with a black sole to match the black and light graphite grey leather and nubuck upper. The toe sports the iconic laser pattern, and the chartreuse inner lining gives the dark shoe loads of bright contrast. The outsole follows the colorway as well, to match the chartreuse mesh inner tongue, and bright Jordan symbol on the back heel panel. This specific pair is numbered and specified as a sample on the side panel. Not a bad idea for this pair of jays.

The Air Jordan XIV (14) is one of the simplest and safest Air Jordan models made to date. Many colorways of the AJ14 were released in 2005, and we are now getting a detailed view of a colorway that never made it to retailers. Featuring a white upper with chambray accents, the colorway on these unreleased samples is pretty simple. One of the key aspects of this pair is the chambray colored inner lining. Though the inner lining color is not usually visible once it is being worn, it makes a huge difference to the appearance of the sneaker if it’s sitting on your shelves. As previously mentioned, this is a sample Air Jordan 14 and will not be released. The only way to cop a pair is through the ‘Bay.

The Air Jordan Fusion V (5) series was released in early 2008, but we are now getting a first look at a sample pair that never made it to store shelves. Featuring a black base with red stitching and accents, most sneakerheads deem it a godsend that this pair was never released. It appears as though the upper was composed of both leather and suede and even included red paint behind the black mesh net on the side. Contrasting with the black Air Force 1 midsole, this pair also yields a white “sunburst” design from the Air Jordan V (5). Jordan Brand has essentially released a low-top version of every single Air Jordan numbered sneaker up to now with the exception of a few including the Air Jordan VII (7). We are now seeing evidence that Jordan Brand did come up with the design of a low top AJ7, but then scrapped the idea. Shown above, an unreleased sample Air Jordan 7 Low features an upper extremely reminiscent of the mid cut AJ7. Yielding a white leather base with citrus accents and a clear sole, this pair is definitely a ‘love it or hate it’ type of sneaker.
