Sun Yue may not be the next Michael Jordan or his teammate Kobe Bryant, but is the only the fifth player from China to enter the NBA which is quite an achievement aside from being drafted by the Los Angeles Laker. Though Yue has been limited to about 6 minutes a game, the guard has been seen wearing a player exclusive model of the adidas TS Creator. The sneakers are treated with the traditional white, purple and gold along with “QTip” written at the heel, one of Yue’s nicknames. Be on the look out for Yue and his TS Creator when the Los Angeles Lakers play against the Utah Jazz on Friday January 2nd, 2009.

Prior to the NBA All Star game being played on February 15th, 2009 in Phoenix, the sneakers of choice of the participants will be seen over the next few weeks. Here’s a look at the adidas TS Creator designed for the adidas athletes on the Eastern Conference All Star team, possibly Dwight Howard. The TS Creator is made up of silver, obsidian and university blue. In addition, the all star logoman appears on the midsole with “EAST” written over it. With the Undrcrwn x adidas TS Commander being seen earlier in the week and the TS Creator last month, we get a look at one more TS model, the TS Creator Art of War. This model is made up of a black and beige upper with an intricate pattern seen all throughout the sneaker. The Art of War doesn’t appear to be geared for the likes of Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard or any other athlete, but it does provide a unique style in addition to the collaborations with Undrcrwn. Billups in his Pistons-toned adidas TS Creator Mid. 

In a trade that seemingly came out of left field, veteran guard Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets was shipped to the Detroit Pistons for clutch shooting guard Chauncey Billups, reliable forward Antonio McDyess, and rookie Cheikh Samb. I wondered whether adidas and Reebok would be ready to suit up their two signature studs in footwear to match their new uniforms–each company had only days to manufacture new product for their players. Saturday night provided us with an answer, (Pun not intended!) with Billups rocking out in a Pistons-themed blue/red/white iteration of his adidas TS Creator Mid and Iverson switching between the ‘07 and Answer XII (7). Both athletes have been rewarded significantly by their sponsor companies, each recieving their own product for the 2008 season. (CB recieves only his own colorway, mind you. UNDCRWN and adidas have exhibited several projects and their latest yields this TS Creator outfitted with a black, silver and gold color-way to go along with the Championship motif.
