Sun Yue may not be the next Michael Jordan or his teammate Kobe Bryant, but is the only the fifth player from China to enter the NBA which is quite an achievement aside from being drafted by the Los Angeles Laker. Though Yue has been limited to about 6 minutes a game, the guard has been seen wearing a player exclusive model of the adidas TS Creator. The sneakers are treated with the traditional white, purple and gold along with “QTip” written at the heel, one of Yue’s nicknames. Be on the look out for Yue and his TS Creator when the Los Angeles Lakers play against the Utah Jazz on Friday January 2nd, 2009.

Prior to the NBA All Star game being played on February 15th, 2009 in Phoenix, the sneakers of choice of the participants will be seen over the next few weeks. Here’s a look at the adidas TS Creator designed for the adidas athletes on the Eastern Conference All Star team, possibly Dwight Howard. The TS Creator is made up of silver, obsidian and university blue. In addition, the all star logoman appears on the midsole with “EAST” written over it. “What does it mean to come home?” ponders Denver Nuggets floor leader and Colorado native Chauncey Billups. The guard recently peregrinated back to his birthplace after a long stint in Detroit, reinvigorating the city that watched him transform from a three-time “Mr. Basketball” recipient at George Washington High School into a do-everything scorer for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Billups recently teamed up with adidas to manufacture a unique version of the brand’s TS Creator Mid in celebration of Chauncey’s career with the Buffs that’ll be worn in tonight’s Thanksgiving Day game. The shoe is distinguished by glimmering gold upper and personal messages that hearken back to the guard’s days in the Big Twelve. More specifically, the model includes “Go Buffs” on the medial ankle collar and CB’s initials and nickname “Mr. Big Shot” on the lateral side.

The Three Stripes will host an exclusive auction for TS Creator Thanksgiving Day shoe starting on Friday, November 28, 2008. Only 11 pairs, exact replicas of the pair worn by Chauncey on Tofurkey Day, will be numbered and autographed by Billups. Bidding will start at $100 and will run for one week ending on Thursday, December 4th, 2008. To place a bid, please go here.

All proceeds will go to the Porter-Billups Leadership Academy, a local Denver academic institute providing disadvantaged youth optimal opportunities and resources to achieve success and receive diplomas. Billups has been actively involved it all elements of the non-profit organization since 2006.

With the Undrcrwn x adidas TS Commander being seen earlier in the week and the TS Creator last month, we get a look at one more TS model, the TS Creator Art of War. This model is made up of a black and beige upper with an intricate pattern seen all throughout the sneaker. The Art of War doesn’t appear to be geared for the likes of Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard or any other athlete, but it does provide a unique style in addition to the collaborations with Undrcrwn. However, don’t expect to the Art of War TS Creator to hit stateside accounts anytime soon, they are exclusive to Asia. Via Hoop China.

In a trade that seemingly came out of left field, veteran guard Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets was shipped to the Detroit Pistons for clutch shooting guard Chauncey Billups, reliable forward Antonio McDyess, and rookie Cheikh Samb. I wondered whether adidas and Reebok would be ready to suit up their two signature studs in footwear to match their new uniforms–each company had only days to manufacture new product for their players. Saturday night provided us with an answer, (Pun not intended!) with Billups rocking out in a Pistons-themed blue/red/white iteration of his adidas TS Creator Mid and Iverson switching between the ’07 and Answer XII (7). Both athletes have been rewarded significantly by their sponsor companies, each recieving their own product for the 2008 season. (CB recieves only his own colorway, mind you.
