The Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – NYC Taxi was released in limited amounts at certain New York retailers earlier this month and we are now seeing evidence that a couple more retailers have also recieved this limited ZLVI. Inspired by the average taxi cabs in New York which residents see on a daily basis, this pair features a black perforated leather upper with a yellow patent leather band and other yellow accents seen throughout the sneaker. To finish this pair off and give it a fresh look, Nike has included a metallic swoosh, grey outsole, and black/white laces. As previously mentioned, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – NYC Taxi is now available at select Nike retailers in the New York area including Vault.

Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the New York Knicks tomorrow, January 4, 2009. For that game, Lebron is breaking out a new colorway of his signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI. We previewed this “Taxi Cab” colorway of the ZLVI a while ago and we now have detailed pictures and information to share. This colorway is inspired by the average taxi cabs in New York which residents see on a daily basis. Featuring a black perforated leather upper with yellow patent leather accents and a metallic swoosh, this pair nicely imitates the typical taxi cab’s color scheme.

The Nike Zoom Lebron VI has been featured in a plethora of colorways recently. Some love the concept of releasing a great amount of Lebron’s newest sneaker while others despise of the idea. Whatever the case may be, we are now seeing a picture of a ZLVI that is rumored to be inspired by the taxi cabs in New York. You may remember that a couple months ago, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – Big Apple was released which was also inspired by the Big City. Though this pair features an extremely different colorway than the Big Apple colorway, they both are inspired by integral aspects of New York. Aside from the typical taxi cab colorway of black and yellow, this pair also features a silver swoosh and a grey outsole. No word on a release date as of yet, but be sure to stay tuned for updates.
