Supra’s TUF Spring/Summer 2009 Collection is intended for boarders, and features more durable materials and toned down aesthetics than the brand’s casual counterparts. The series is headlined by rugged black and white variation of the Supra Skytop and Vaider. Each shoe is augmented by a vulcanized midsole with for added comfort and better grip while skating. The Supra TUF Spring/Summer 2009 Collection will be available at skateshop retailers in the coming weeks.

Supra has released several new shoes already this year. In particular, the independent casual brand recently dropped new iterations of the Cruizer, Skytop, and Vaider. The high-rising Skytop hit in an all-white color scheme, the Cruizer in an a Grape-inspired white/grape/turquoise scheme and black/fade blue make-up. With Ben Baller and the overrated Lil’ Wayne acting as celebrity advocates, burgeoning independent brand Supra ballooned into one of the most prominent brands in the hip-hop world this past year. The Skytop, the company’s high-rising casual model, is returning this year in a burgundy patent leather make-up, an all-bronze color scheme, and an ink blue suede version. After collaborating on the King of Sneakers Custom Footwear x Taboo – Obama Nike Air Force 1, the two are back at it again with a different purpose. Not using the Nike Air Force 1 as its base, the Supra Skytop is transformed with a simple palette of red, black and silver.
