It’s that time of the year again! No, not Fall, but the time when Vans starts releasing its Holiday 2009 collection. First up, we have the Vans Chukka Suede in two clean colorways: navy and grey. Both shoes use full suede uppers in their respective colors, along with vulcanized midsoles. The navy pair uses a white midsole to contrast the dark upper, whereas the other pair rocks a darker grey midsole, given its lightly toned upper. After the success of the last few colorways of the Nike Zoom Bruin SB, Nike SB has decided to keep going with the underrated skate shoe. The Nike Zoom Bruin SB will come in an orange/black colorway, which rocks a full suede upper in orange. The orange is nicely offset by a black suede swoosh and black inner lining. The white midsole also gives this shoe some nice contrast, especially with the gumsole underneath. Expect to see this shoe in Summer 2010, but too bad they aren’t releasing in time for Halloween!

The popular brand of the seventies’ is putting life back into its acclaimed models, as Onitsuka Tiger seeks to keep its audience pleased. Onitsuka has retro’ed its Onitsuka Tiger Vickka in two classic colorways: jester red and navy. Both shoes use full suede uppers; the red has silver leather accents and the navy has white leather accents. Chunky white midsoles make this narrow shoe even better, much like the Puma Suede or Clyde. The outsole of each shoe matches its main color, making this solely a two-tone shoe. It seems as if the Nike Air Elan is sticking with the metallic tongue ever since the Metallic Pack was released. This time around, the Nike Air Elan Premium comes in an obsidian/white colorway. The shoe consists of an obsidian suede upper, gold metallic leather tongue, and white midsole. The Nike swoosh is perforated on the side panel along with a few other perforations towards the toe area. The insole is made of white premium leather to finish off this premium shoe. After seeing a small preview of the Supra Thunder in the Fall 2009 lineup, we have a closer yet limited look at the black suede Supra Thunder. The high top shoe features a full black suede upper to contrast its white midsole and vulcanized toe. This is a pretty simple shoe compared to Supra’s other releases. Supra as well as LA-based clothing brand “The Hundreds” are getting on the classic silhouette made famous by Converse. This shoe is set for release later this year but is available now for $72 online.

It’s been a while since we last saw an update of the Puma Clyde Hall of Game collection, but sure enough, it’s coming. Puma has released the previously shown Puma Clyde in a LA Lakers purple/gold colorway, along with a Puma Clyde in green/white colorway to represent the Boston Celtics. This specific colorway was made to commemorate the historical rivalry between the Lakers and Celtics, or Magic and the Bird. Both shoes features suede uppers in their respective colorways, while the Laker Clyde has a white sole and the other a gumsole. Be sure to get a pair of these to rep your team in this ongoing rivalry.

Aside from all the crazy releases, it’s good to see that New Balance likes to keep it simple, which is the company’s strong point. The New Balance CM670N Spot Limited Edition comes in two popular colorways: turquoise blue and violet purple. The colored suede is contrasted by a white suede toebox and side panels, as well as a grey suede heel panel. Both shoes have white midsoles and black soles to keep this shoe clean. Although these are some simple shoes, they come at a price of about $150 each.
