We have seen many previews of the upcoming “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11 (XI) Retro, and we now have a first look at the packaging that will come standard with the highly sought after sneaker. The sneaker’s box will host a slide-out design with a varsity royal “XI” cover. The box is coated in black with an embossed “23″ on the top with white and varsity royal accents. Other key aspects of the packaging are the sneaker inserts which are coated in varsity royal. Jordan Brand is definitely taking the Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam release seriously, and we will keep you updated as the late November release date nears.

Newer, and even clear images of the Air Jordan Retro XI (11) “Space Jam” have hit the web. Last week, we noted several minor differences between the ‘00 Space Jam and the ‘09 reissue–chief among them is the royal blue Jumpman underneath the translucent outsole and the heel logos that face different directions. The Air Jordan Retro XI (11) “Space Jam” will hit retailers in quickstrike amounts on Friday, November 27.

The long waited retro release of the Air Jordan Space Jam XI is approaching, and here we have the first pictures of the sneakers. Brand Jordan didn’t make any big changes, there’s little to be done for a shoe that scores so highly in all categories, but one difference is the color of the Jumpman logo on the sole of the shoe. If memory serves me, said logo was white in previous editions. Slated for a release on November 27th, you’ll probably be paying a premium if you miss the rumored $175 retail mark.

In a decision heard ’round the world, Michael Jordan retired from the game of basketball to pursue a career in baseball. His announcement came shortly after the passing of his father, who had always envisioned his son as a Big Leaguer. MJ batted .202 with 3 HR, 51 RBI, 30 stolen bases, and 11 errors in a largely underwhelming campaign that was forever enshrined in cinematic classic Space Jam. (Mike also had a stint with the Scottsdale Scorpions in the 1994 Arizona Fall League.) Jordan sported the Tinker Hatfield-designed Jordan IX (9), his signature for the ‘94-95 season in a cleated format. The shoe featured an all-black upper and was distinguished by Jordan’s number “45″ and a clever Jumpman “Globe” logo stitched along the heel.
