In September we brought you a look at the Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache that Dave’s Quality Meat helped design and became nicknamed “Bacon.” Now, certain retailers have in stock a similar looking pair of the aforementioned collaborative sneaker. Pictured here is a Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache that pays homage to the “Bacon” one designed by DQM by only slightly altering the color scheme. What’s different about this pair is that on the Air Max label near the heel/ankle, the tongue, shoe laces, and part of the toe box all come in sharp red. With these slight alterations, could you even decide which pair you favor? Let us know after the jump.

As many of our followers might know, Baron Davis and Brandon Jennings are not the only players in a sneaker contract with a less popular brand, (Li-Ning and Under Armour, respectively). Ron Artest joined the Peak brand a few years back, and now there are shots of the baller’s signature basketball sneaker- although they are not in the Los Angeles Lakers colorway. These come in a predominantly white base with sky blue stitching as well as black on the heel and Peak logo. Moreover, there is a snakeskin pattern on the midsole and Xcel-U label going down the tongue and underneath the shoe. Lastly, these come in a box with the words “I CAN PLAY” on it, leading many to almost inevitably nickname these the “I Can Play.” What do you guys think of what Peak has cooked up for Ron Artest? Let us know after the jump, and check out more pictures of this shoe.

In anticipation of what seems like will be the first Nike Zoom Kobe V to release, we showed you detailed pictures of the “Chaos” colorway dropping in December. But we’ve also had a very small preview of a pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe V that would be laced up during away games. Many have trouble seeing major differences between the Nike Zoom Kobe IV and V, however, a large part of what makes this “away” Kobe V different from its Kobe IV counterpart are the materials used. The Kobe V “away” boasts reflective reptile print in both black and purple, with a more evident Flywire finish on the mid-panel and even mesh on the upper heel. Check out the detailed pictures after the jump, and stay tuned for official release information as soon as it becomes available.

With November 20th just around the corner, we’ve already previewed a lot of the Reebok 20th Anniversary Collection collaboration models, but a few shops are still building the suspense. The latest sneaker to be unveiled is the work of Chicago sneakershop, St. Alfred. Fitted with a boot-like colorway, the model features a brown/green upper, nubuck panels, metal eyelets, and rope laces. The quilted lining and signature insoles present some high-scoring detail work, an instance of the boot/sneaker crossover being accomplished with taste. The Timberland-esque model will be released with the rest of the collection on Friday, November 20th at noon — but with only 31 pairs available, you might want to get up early.
