Every year, Nike celebrates Black History Month with the release of a new sneaker honoring the important month. This year’s base model is the Nike Air Force 1 (One) and it features a black, red, and green upper. Much thought and effort went into designing this pair by Nike and it is quite evident through the lasered graphic on the rear as well as the marble midsole which is meant to represent the courtrooms of the U.S. Supreme Court where many monumentous civil rights battles were fought. This pair also yields a red inner lining, red and green stitching, and a black midsole. The 2009 NBA All Star Game is almost here and we now have pictures of two more Nike player exclusives to share. The first pair is a Nike Foamposite Lite Player Exclusive (PE) which will be worn by Amare Stoudamire of the Phoenix Suns. This Foamposite Lite features a red upper with an icey sole, a red metallic midsole, and gold graphics seen throughout the sneaker. The second pair (seen after the ‘jump’) is the Nike Air Max Spot Up which will be rocked by Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks. Featuring a red gradient upper accented by a white swoosh and a white toecap, this pair has a clean and sleek colorway. With the release of the Air Jordan I (1) Low Phat – Portland Trailblazers nearing, we are now getting a first look at the home colorway of the Utah Jazz Air Jordan I (1) Low Phat. As part of their championship pack series, Jordan Brand is set to release two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low Phat and one colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings in commemoration of Michael Jordan and the Bulls defeating the Utah Jazz en route to one of MJ’s six championship rings. This pair features a white leather base accented by a vivid blue swoosh, tongue, and outsole. Also yielding a court purple midsole with a white patent leather toecap, this pair has a simple, yet clean colorway. These are set to drop on March 28, 2009.

After showcasing the “Home” colorway of the Utah Jazz Air Jordan I (1) Retro Low Phat earlier today, we now have a preview of the Away colorway set to drop alongside the aforementioned AJ1 Low Phat. Featuring a black upper with a white swoosh and vivid blue accents seen on the tongue and the heel, this pair’s colorway is inspired by the away jerseys of the Utah Jazz. This pair also comes fitted with a court purple midsole and vivid blue outsole which combine to nicely accent the fairly simple upper. The newest Nike SB Dunk to release is the black and baltic blue pair shown above which draws inspiration from the theme of an Angel and a Devil. The Angel and Devil theme is not evident at first, but after a quick look at the insole, the inspiration becomes quite obvious. Featuring a black upper with a blue toebox, ankle, and swoosh, this pair has a clean and sleek look. Nike has incorporated a bit more color into this pair by including red accents on the tongue, the heel, and the swoosh outline. The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium – Angel & Devil features a variety of materials including leather, mesh, and denim. These are now available at Nike SB retailers including Kix-Files.

With the successful release of the Nike Air Force II (2) High Premium – Gucci, Nike has decided to continue their recent trend of applying Gucci colors to some of their classic models. This time, the Nike Waffle Racer 3 is outfitted in black, red, and green, but Nike does not directly state that this pair is inspired by Gucci. Whatever the case may be, this “Gucci” Waffle Racer 3 features a black upper with red and green accents seen on the laces and on the heel. To play up to the classy, elegant Gucci standard, Nike has included a patent leather toecap and swoosh. Expect for these to hit your local Nike retailers fairly soon. Via LTD.

The Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – NYC Taxi was released in limited amounts at certain New York retailers earlier this month and we are now seeing evidence that a couple more retailers have also recieved this limited ZLVI. Inspired by the average taxi cabs in New York which residents see on a daily basis, this pair features a black perforated leather upper with a yellow patent leather band and other yellow accents seen throughout the sneaker. To finish this pair off and give it a fresh look, Nike has included a metallic swoosh, grey outsole, and black/white laces. As previously mentioned, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) – NYC Taxi is now available at select Nike retailers in the New York area including Vault.
