With Halloween nineteen days away, Vans is keeping its festive tradition by releasing another Halloween Pack for 2009. The Halloween pack consists of the same models as that of last year’s: the Vans Sk8-Hi and Vans Resolution. Both keep to the black/white/orange colorway, but are different in their black patent leather uppers. White midsoles keep it clean and classic, especially with the orange accents on the laces and logos. Of course, the Jack ‘O Lantern logo is kept on the Sk8-Hi’s to finish off the theme. Be sure to grab your own pair to trick or treat in this Halloween.

There is perhaps no brand that executes perforated materials on sneaker silhouettes with more frequency, and maybe also skill, than the Vans team. But Vans can definitely switch it up- as seen with these pairs of Half Cab’s and Sk8-Hi’s that sport predominantly mesh grey bases with red, white, and nubuck black accents throughout. The red on the Sk8-Hi’s is of a darker hue and exists primarily on the inner lining. The red on the Half Cab’s is more vibrant and is seen on the upper as well as the inner lining. Expect these to drop at select Vans retailers this fall/winter.

This coming Fall, Vans will celebrate some of America’s finest cities with their “City Pack.” At first blush, you’ll notice that Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium, Los Angeles’ Lockwood Elementary, New York’s Astor Place and San Francisco’s The Embarcadero were used as inspiration. Each city is observed with two legendary Vans’ silhouettes including the Half Cab, Sk8-Hi, Era, and Authentic. Look for the Vans City Pack later this Fall at your favorite skate account!

California skate troupe Vans goes against the grain with their Barb Wire Pack. The three-pair release features the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, and Authentic with pinstripe-esque detailing that’s actually barbwire. Each model features vulcanized styling with a black canvas upper that works to bring out the careful horizontal and vertical detailing. The Vans Sk8-Hi “Reflective” features a black suede toebox and red nylon mesh upper atop a bare white midsole. The Sk8 is highlighted by neon green faux-croc print 3M Scotchlite accents on the stripe and around the heel. The Vans Sk8-Hi “Reflective” is available to skaters and bikers in Japan. Not too long ago, we saw a small preview of the Vans Vault Lvevl Pack, and we are now receiving our first look at another colorway of the same Pack. Similar to the aforementioned white colorway of this pack, the three sneakers composing this Lvevl pack include the Sk8 Hi LX, the Half Cab LX, and the 46 LX. All three feature eggshell, essentially off-white or cream, colored uppers accented by metallic silver lace holes on the Sk8 Hi and Half Cab. The Vans Vault Lvevl Pack – Eggshell is now available at your local Vans retailers.

For the culturally unaware, (count me in) animal prints are extremely popular in “The Land of The Rising Sun.” To celebrate this phenomenon, Vans Japan recently released two new “Animal” themed pairs of the SK8-Hi. Both variations feature a black toebox that’s sandwiched atop a vulcanized white midsole. A zebra pattern and leopard print mark up the SK8’s middle panel and provide visual contrast. The Vans SK8-Hi “Animal” Pack is available now in Japan, and we’ll update here if they catch retail recognition here in the United States.
