Back in April, we broke news that Michael Jordan would be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in September 2009. We now have a look at the first of a rumored four sneakers to be released honoring Jordan’s great accomplishment. This Air Jordan Six Rings features a black patent leather and canvas base accented by white stitching, a grey outsole, red hits on the heel and inner lining, and a multicolored logo on the tongue. Though the colors are fresh, the most defining aspects of this sneaker are definitely the various numbers seen on the mid-sole which represent various moments in Michael Jordan’s career. The “Hall of Fame” Air Jordan Six Rings is scheduled to release in September 2009.

The newest sneaker set to drop from the Air Jordan Six Rings series is the Portland Trailblazers inspired pair seen above. Featuring a predominately white upper with black and red lasering, this pair obviously takes inspiration from the jerseys of the Trailblazers. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Blazers en route to their 1992 NBA Championship and Jordan Brand is honoring the victory by releasing this colorway of the Six Rings. Chris Paul is definitely emerging into one of the best point guards to currently play in the NBA. Going along with his success on the courts, he has experienced much success in the footwear department as well. Jordan Brand has been hooking up their athlete with some real heat as of late and this On Court article yields no exception. On January 26, 2009, the Hornets took on the Philadelphia 76ers when CP3 rocked a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings. Two games later, Chris Paul stepped onto the courts and surprised fans by actually rocking his own sneaker, the Air Jordan CP3 II. Paul has been known to wear the newest AJ models, but as the release date of his own signature sneaker nears, expect to see Paul rocking the CP3 II more often. The year was 1998, many us may remember Michael Jordan hitting the game winning shot against Bryon Russell and the Utah Jazz in Game 6 of the NBA FInals.
