adidas is celebrating their 60th Anniversary with a flury of “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” releases that celebrate the brand’s storied history and penchant for luxurious quality. (Last week, we previewed the adidas Pro Model 80′s, a cornerstone of 60 years of S&S.) The shelltoed adidas Superstar, arguably the company’s most prevalent model, will be available in black/purple and white/gold. Both shoes feature the unique “Color Vision” treatment, a pattern of multicolored dots that cover each sneaker’s heel panel. This past Fall season Alife released the Shelltoe in a few colors and have expanded it to black, white and teal. Each sneaker consists of a rubber toebox and suede upper. An Alife patch is stitched at the back heels in their old english ilke font adding a nice subtle addition. FLAUGE has all three colors available, but other select Alife retailers should be getting these soon.
