Air Jordan VI (6) Retro - Black / Infrared Sample

Back in 2000 before the Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro – Black/Deep Infrared was released, many sneakerheads may remember that a sample image was seen which depicted certain midsole parts of the sneaker as infrared instead of black. This little deviation from the original sneaker had collectors going crazy and throwing fits. Jordan Brand recognized what the consumers wanted and eventually ended up releasing a product more in line with the Original Air Jordan 6 Infrared. Though at that time the sample was seen as nothing special, it is now available on the ‘Bay for a current bid of over $5,000.

Sample Air Jordan VII (7) Low - White / Citrus

Jordan Brand has essentially released a low-top version of every single Air Jordan numbered sneaker up to now with the exception of a few including the Air Jordan VII (7). We are now seeing evidence that Jordan Brand did come up with the design of a low top AJ7, but then scrapped the idea. Shown above, an unreleased sample Air Jordan 7 Low features an upper extremely reminiscent of the mid cut AJ7. Yielding a white leather base with citrus accents and a clear sole, this pair is definitely a ‘love it or hate it’ type of sneaker. As previously mentioned, this pair is an unreleased sample and will most likely never be released. Via Kenlu.

Nike Dunk Mid SB - Aegean Blue / Aegean Blue Sample

If you think this sample looks familiar, you are right. It dates back to 2006 and is designed originally using the Nike Dunk SB Mid Peacock and Nike Dunk SB Mid Linoleum. Instead, Nike SB decided to split the two designs into two different sneakers. The floral pattern was placed on the Linoleum Dunks and the rest of the sneaker was left for the Peacock Dunks. Rumor has it that only 5 pairs were produced, but the design was eventually scrapped and will never be released. Via NSB.

Nike SB Dunk Low Supreme x Nike Air Force 1

Although there are the heavily sought after Nike SB Dunks and Air Force 1s, this may be as rare as they come. This sample offers the best of both worlds, the Supreme Nike SB Dunk Low and the Air Force 1. The sneaker retains the original look of the white Supreme model which is the iconic cement print mixed with white, black and blue. In addition, a padded tongue is put in place to perfect the Nike SB x Nike Air Force 1 hybrid feel. The story behind this sneaker is that it is a sample created in 2002 that was never released to the public and only a few people in the world have a pair. However, you can find a pair listed on eBay right now. A true collector’s item to say the least.
