Earlier this year, we previewed some of the upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Max 1, and we now have a detailed look at two styles which both utilize quite a bit of safari print. The first variation hosts a white synthetic mesh upper accented by a purple swoosh, grey suede mid-panels, a black out-sole, purple safari print, and purple inner lining. The second sneaker from this Safari Pack yields a similar color scheme while the purple accents are replaced by yellow accents. The latest sneaker to receive the Safari treatment from the designers over at Nike is the Terminator Low. Featuring a multicolored upper highlighted by a mint and blue safari print, blue laces, and a brown toecap, this sneaker is definitely not made for everyone. This pair’s color scheme is very similar to a Nike Air Max 1 which recently released and is part of the larger Nike Sportswear Spring 2009 Collection. The blue inner lining, teal swoosh, and the teal heel definitely add the needed aspects to make this pair special. Just when you thought you have seen just about every Safari themed sneaker we get a look at this Dunk High by Nike Sportswear. The prevalent print appears on the front of the sneaker and is carried to the lacing area and up to the top of the sneaker. Furthermore, purple laces and a gum sole can also be found alongside the light purple upper. Lastly, Zoom technology is noted on the tongue which means extra comfort in this stylish Dunk High. After seeing this pair of Nike Dunk Low’s, you have to assume that the design team over at Nike must be passionate fans of the game “Hungry Hungry Hippos.” Unique to say the least, this is definitely a colorway that steps away from what we have been seeing in terms of Dunk colorways. Right at the core of this pair, the insole features a flashy hippo graphic. Also, this pair yields a black toe box, pink swoosh, and white laces riding on top of a black speckled midsole. However, the eye catching feature of this shoe is the safari print that begins above the heel and extends all the way to front of this sneaker. You might remember this safari print from the Nike Dunk High Safari’s we covered last month; in fact, Nike is planning on releasing many safari inspired sneakers in 2009. Last week, we showed you the Nike Safari Air Max 1 which is now available at select Nike Sportswear acounts and we now have pictures of a Nike Safari Terminator High. We are hearing rumors that these two releases are part of a larger Nike Safari Print Pack which will include many other sneaker models such as the Nike Dunk High Premium featured yesterday. This pair shown above yields an upper composed of many shades of gray precisely like that of the aforementioned Air Max 1. Also featuring a black swoosh and a cream midsole, this colorway is a bit out there and is not made for everyone. This pair leaves us wondering what other sneakers will make up this new Nike Safari Print Pack we are hearing of and also leaves us hoping that the others will be a little more toned down than this pair. In 2009, Nike will be releasing a plethora of sneakers inspired by their Nike ACG line which is meant to produce sneakers that can be wore anywhere under any conditions. Though 2009 has not yet arrived, Nike has already released two pairs of sneakers that represent what there is to come in this upcoming year. The first of these sneakers is the Nike Air Force 1 – ACG Wildedge that we presented to you a couple weeks back. The second sneaker is the Nike Safari Air Max 1 pictured above. Featuring a multitude of gray shades ranging from dark to light, this sneaker yields a very clean and unique look. Having already seen the Safari Nike Air Force 1 High, Nike will be implementing a similar concept with this Dunk High slated to release in early January. This sneaker consists of safari print used in liberal amounts on the panels at the heel and toe. In addition, black can also be found at the middle of the sneaker and toe box while blue laces and accents contribute to the overall design of this safari based model. Pre-orders are now being taken at end and the Dunk High will hit stores in January.
