Ladies love Christian Louboutin red-soled stilettos (but running in heels not so much)! Louboutin’s first ever sneakers are a leopard-print high top. The high top style looks simple; with plain black laces and a rubber sole.  The eye catcher is the leopard print, not exactly sure of the texture. No word on when the sneakers will be released (thinking Fall 09) or really any other details of Louboutin’s venture into athletic footwear. His sky-high stilettos can run a pricey $800 and up, the sneakers may possibly be in that range but hopefully a little softer on the wallet. For now all we can do is speculate.  One thing’s for sure – the sole has to be red!!

Independent brand Clae has been one of the most suprising start-up entrants in the oft-convoluted casual sneaker market. The brand’s understated products are rooted in luxurious quality, moderate pricing, and mature silhouettes.  The company’s most awe-inspiring shoe, the Russell Mid, is a high-rising anti-leisure shoe distinguished by a clean, white midsole and  perforated upper.
