With its Collegiate Collection, Pony went a route less conventional than used to by working with a silhouette that reminds many of the Nike Blazer. But the brand returns to work on a more familiar mid-cut sneaker with the help of Gallery 1950. This collaboration has yielded three pairs of mids- one in a green/black colorway, a second in blue/black, and the last one in all-black. Some white accents exist on every single pair by way of a completely white sole and logo stripe. These shoes will be made available only at select, participating Pony retailers- with some even already having them up for pre-order.

Traveling Back in Time With Eastbay: November '95 Catalog!

Bounce guest blogger and Eastbay Sneakerhead Jordan Hagedorn (Yes, his business card actually reads “sneakerhead”–how bugged is that?) provided an introspective look back at the company’s November ‘95 catalog today over on Bouncemag.com. The issue could be the Wausau, Wisconsin based brand’s most classic ever, as the cover features Santa’s elves polishing up the Air Jordan XI (11) and Reebok Kamikaze Mid. Inside the mag, you’ll see hoops kicks from Nike, Pony, Fila, and British Knight. Images via Jordan Hagedorn and Eastbay

EA Sports is definitely one of the biggest names when it comes to video games and now they are attempting to influence the sneaker game as well. Pony will be teaming up with EA Sports on this one to give the Pony Feed The Cat a well-deserved makeover. Feed The Cat is one of Pony’s signature sneaker models that has a very sleek and clean look. This pair features the traditional EA Sports colorway of white, red, and blue. The EA Sports logo is placed on the ankle of the sneaker and their slogan (It’s In The Game) is written vertically on the heel. Trying to find these will most likely be a hard task considering that they will only be available to athletes, celebrities, and select individuals that are on the Madden ‘08 gaming tour. Via HB.
