Chris Paul is definitely emerging into one of the best point guards to currently play in the NBA. Going along with his success on the courts, he has experienced much success in the footwear department as well. Jordan Brand has been hooking up their athlete with some real heat as of late and this On Court article yields no exception. On January 26, 2009, the Hornets took on the Philadelphia 76ers when CP3 rocked a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings. Two games later, Chris Paul stepped onto the courts and surprised fans by actually rocking his own sneaker, the Air Jordan CP3 II. Paul has been known to wear the newest AJ models, but as the release date of his own signature sneaker nears, expect to see Paul rocking the CP3 II more often. Earlier today, we showcased Marcus Jordan’s Air Jordan II (2) Player Exclusive model. Michael’s youngest offspring hoops for Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Illinois and was apparently hit off with a white/team orange/powder blue pair of the Air Jordan IX (9) to match his squad’s uniforms. Yesterday’s On Court: Barack Obama Inauguration Edition highlighted two of the latest Air Jordan Player Exclusives made exclusively for Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson in commemoration of Barack Obama’s inauguration. Though it was obvious that Obama taking office would have a huge impact on the world, not too many people expected for it to have an impact on Air Jordan models. These two pairs of the Air Jordan Pure Pressure feature the three colors most associated with the U.S.—red, white, and blue. The Air Jordan Pure Pressure with the red accents is made exclusively for Mike Bibby while the other colorway is for Joe Johnson. Richard “Rip” Hamilton is a cornerstone of Jordan Brand’s TEAM Jordan Squad, and is one of the lucky few who recieves exclusive make-ups of the latest Jumpman releases. (An envious position, wouldn’t you say?) In 2008, the Detroit Pistons veteran recieved several unique versions of the Air Jordan 6 Rings, the brand’s Shelleyian attempt at fusing the shoes Michael Jordan wore when he won NBA championships into a super design. Joe Johnson has emerged as one of the league’s best guards and is pace to become an all-star once again. Jordan Brand has treated Johnson with several Player Exclusive (PE) models over the past few years and can add this to his collection. This Air Jordan V (5) features an old school Atlanta Hawks look as opposed to their current look. The sneakers are made up of red, yellow, an icy sole, 3M tongue and Johnson’s jersey number embroidered at the heel. Already an early MVP candidate, New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul is off to a phenomenal year racking up stats in bunches. Paul has been gracious on the court and so has Jordan Brand by creating different player exclusive models for Paul to wear, mainly the Air Jordan XX3 (23). CP3’s away XX3 has appeared on both the Hornets star’s feet and online. The away model features black with teal, conforming to the colors of the road jersey. Paul’s most recent away Air Jordan XX3 spotting was against the Indiana Pacers where the Hornets went on to win 105-103 with CP3 scoring 19 points and dishing out 12 assists.  Thank you to Jacob O.N.O for providing pictures.
