It’s back. We’ve seen this colorway on the Nike Air Max 90 before, but what it reminds us most of, is the iconic and infamous Nike Dunk SB Low ‘Pigeon’. This fresh colorway combines bright red, and various tones of grey to mimic the popular colorway.

Jeff Staple’s iconic Pigeon sneakers all started with the Nike Dunk SB, and has reached to other brands like New Balance and Converse, but this time a Nike Air Max 90 Staple Pigeon was created not by Mr. Staple, but a couple of fans. Almost identical as far as color goes, both creators went to Nike iD and used infrared in replace of the orange/pink/salmon used on the SB Dunk. Two fan made models were showed off to Jeff, one featuring a pigeon at the heel, with mesh on the toe box, tongue and above the pigeon, while the second model (pictured below) does not contain the pigeon, but looks on point also. Great job to both of the creators.

Staple Design’s latest installment continues with another anticipated release under the pigeon moniker. Set to release the “White Pigeon” New Balance 575 on August 18th, the white pigeon is strikingly similar to the last New Balance 575 pigeon, but the dark grey is now replaces with an off white. Also note that like other staple design releases expect these to be limited to 1000 so mark the date on your calender if you’re planning on getting a pair.

As you may know, the Staple x New Balance 575 released on August 6th, 2008. Alongside the sneaker, Staple also designed a series of New Era Pigeon 59Fifty fitted hats. Made up of 5 color-ways, the fitteds are available in black, white, green, blue and purple/grey. Each hat will be highlighted by the original pigeon logo. Now available at the Reed Space.
