Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) - ASG '09 - Ray Allen Player Exclusive (PE)

With the Air Jordan 2009 S23 releasing a little while ago, we are now getting a first look at an Air Jordan 2009 made exclusively for Ray Allen to rock while he participates in the NBA 2009 All-Star Game. This is the first AJ 2K9 to feature an upper composed of more than two colors and it looks quite promising that future colorways will definitely make some sneakerheads change their opinions of this model. Yielding a predominately white leather upper with navy blue satin and a university blue trim, this pair nicely matches with the jerseys of the Eastern Conference NBA All-Stars. As it is with all current colorways of the Air Jordan 2009, this pair comes with a blown-glass midsole which gives the sneaker a very clean and unique look. There is currently no information indicating that this pair will be made available to the public, but stay tuned for updates.

Air Jordan IV (4) Retro - Andruw Jones Player Exclusive (PE)

As time goes on, more and more Air Jordan player exclusives are created. Though most are designed for NBA players, there are also a handful of player exclusives made for those partaking in Michael Jordan’s second favorite sport, baseball. These two pairs shown above are Air Jordan IVs made exclusively Andruw Jones, the former center fielder of the Atlanta Braves. Both pairs feature black bases, the traditional Andrew Jones baseball insignia stitched into the heel, and spikes on the sole. The first pair comes with red wingtips, blue inner liner, a red heel tab, and a blue and white midsole. The latter of the two pairs features a black base with red accents and a white midsole. Both pairs were made exclusively for Andruw Jones, and will not be released in the future. Via NT.

Air Jordan V (5) Retro - Mike Phillips Player Exclusive (PE)

Most Air Jordan Player Exclusives are made for professional sports athletes, but this Air Jordan V (5) Retro PE is made for a different type of player. Mike Phillips, an extraordinary saxophonist, is the only non athlete in Team Jordan and this pair was made exclusively for him. Being a part of Team Jordan definitely has its perks and having a player exclusive made for you is one of them. This PE is very similar to the Air Jordan 5 (V) Retro Black/Metallic Silver-Red which released in 2007 and the only notable difference between the two pairs is the lack of the number 23 on the player exclusive. Replacing the “23″ on the rear of the sneaker is a red saxophone with the letters M and P around it. As it is with most player exclusives, the closest you will get is probably checking out the pictures after the ‘jump.’ Via Kenlu.

On Court: Kobe Bryant VS. Lebron James

Earlier today, Kobe Bryant and his fellow Los Angeles Lakers came to Quicken Loans Arena to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though Kobe Bryant was reported to be ill and needed intravenous fluids at halftime, his Lakers pulled through with a 101-91 victory with notable performances from Odom and Gasol. Though the game was exciting, the true excitement was brought while sneakerheads compared the two supertars’ sneaker choices. Lebron James showed up with a new Fairfax Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6), while Kobe started the game with the Carpe Diem Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) and switched to the Venom KBIV at the quarter break. Even though Bryant’s sneaker switch is quite an interesting topic, most sneakerheads stared in awe at what James was rocking. This is our first look at the Fairfax colorway of the Zoom Lebron VI and it looks quite promising.

On Court: Air Jordan CP3 II & Six Rings - Chris Paul Player Exclusive (PE)

Chris Paul is definitely emerging into one of the best point guards to currently play in the NBA. Going along with his success on the courts, he has experienced much success in the footwear department as well. Jordan Brand has been hooking up their athlete with some real heat as of late and this On Court article yields no exception. On January 26, 2009, the Hornets took on the Philadelphia 76ers when CP3 rocked a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings. Two games later, Chris Paul stepped onto the courts and surprised fans by actually rocking his own sneaker, the Air Jordan CP3 II. Paul has been known to wear the newest AJ models, but as the release date of his own signature sneaker nears, expect to see Paul rocking the CP3 II more often. Check out pictures of both pairs after the ‘jump.’ Via Yahoo Sports.

Air Jordan Pure Pressure - Inauguration Day PE

Yesterday’s On Court: Barack Obama Inauguration Edition highlighted two of the latest Air Jordan Player Exclusives made exclusively for Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson in commemoration of Barack Obama’s inauguration. Though it was obvious that Obama taking office would have a huge impact on the world, not too many people expected for it to have an impact on Air Jordan models. These two pairs of the Air Jordan Pure Pressure feature the three colors most associated with the U.S.—red, white, and blue. The Air Jordan Pure Pressure with the red accents is made exclusively for Mike Bibby while the other colorway is for Joe Johnson. Both pairs are now available at all three Footlocker House of Hoops locations, but will certainly not last long. Via: Footlocker.
