The Nike Zoom Flight Club is an emerging sneaker from Nike’s world famous basketball line. Taking inspiration from Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight 98, the Zoom Flight Club hosts a perforated leather upper with a Nike Swoosh near the front and a zipper going right down the middle of the sneaker. The Nike Zoom Flight Club has been stirring up various opinions on the net, and some NBA athletes have begun to rock the sneaker on the courts. In the start of the season, most NBA players wore the Nike Hyperdunk, then the Nike Huarache ‘09, Nike Blue Chip and other various sneakers began to show up, and now the Nike Zoom Flight Club has started to make its presence felt. A plethora of athletes including Caron Butler, Andre Iguodala, OJ Mayo, and Larry Hughes are now rocking player exclusive (PE) colorways of the Nike Zoom Flight Club on court. Earlier today, we featured the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) – Duke Player Exclusives (PE), and now we are seeing a preview of a new Nike ZKIV made for another university with an elite basketball program. This cardinal and gold colorway is made exclusively for the athletes over at the University of Southern California to rock while attempting to make a run during March Madness. This pair yields the typical Trojans’ colorway of cardinal, gold, and white. Most of the sneaker is coated in cardinal while the swoosh is in gold and the midsole and toebox are in white. With March Madness just around the corner, Nike and Kobe Bryant are teaming up to outfit Duke University’s basketball players with their very own Nike Zoom Kobe IV Player Exclusives. Duke players will be receiving a home colorway and an away colorway of the ZKIV so they can look fresh for all their games. The away pair features a black leather base with blue and white accents. The home colorway (seen after the ‘jump’) yields a white upper with blue accents, a black swoosh, and a black heel. These player exclusives range from colorways inspired by Melo’s alma mater, Syracuse University, all the way to colorways taking inspiration from Anthony’s current NBA team, the Denver Nuggets. The NBA All Star Weekend kicked off last night with the Rookie Challenge and today, the Haier Shooting Stars, Play Station Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest all took place. The day was quite action packed with the underdog, Daequan Cook, winning the Three Point Contest while Derrick Rose won the Play Station Skills Challenge, and Team Detroit finished first in the Haier Shooting Stars. Sneaker wise, the day was also quite action packed with interesting sneaker choices from athletes including Michael Cooper rocking the Nike Think Pink – Hyperdunk and Dwight Howard rocking a Superman player exclusive colorway of the adidas TS Bounce Commander.

Jordan Brand has made an Air Jordan 2009 Player Exclusive for each of their athletes participating in the 2009 NBA All Star Game. We have shown you the pairs Ray Allen and Joe Johnson will rock in the ‘09 ASG and it is now time to take a first look at Chris Paul’s AJ 2009 PE. CP3’s pair is very similar to Johnson’s PE and features a white leather upper with white satin panels, a light red midsole and ankle, a deep red blown-glass midsole, and gold accents. Chris Paul has had numerous Air Jordan player exclusives in the past and the newest one to add to his arsenal is this pair which CP3 will be rocking during All Star Weekend beginning February 13, 2009.

Earlier today, we showcased the Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) – All Star Game – Ray Allen Player Exclusive (PE) and now we are getting a first look at an Air Jordan 2009 PE made for Joe Johnson. As most of us know by now, Johnson will be representing the Atlanta Hawks and Team Jordan in the NBA 2009 All Star Game and Jordan Brand has made this PE in recognition of JJ’s accomplishment. This pair features a relatively simple upper composed of white leather, white satin, a navy blue midsole, and university blue accents. This Joe Johnson Air Jordan 2009 Player Exclusive is not yet scheduled for release, but don’t be surprised if it drops in limited numbers in the upcoming weeks.
