Nike SB just dropped this new spot featuring the P-Rod V and showcasing the Lunarlon technology.

The P-Rod is set to receive a facelift later this year in the form of a P-Rod V LR that features a drop-in Lunarlon cup sole, along with the brand new P-Rod VI dropping later this Fall. As you will see, Nike SB is set to make a big push this year with Lunarlon technology at the forefront of many of their upcoming releases. Thus, the video may be serving as a prelude to the year to come.

Following Aziz Ansari’s insights into the “KobeSystem”, we are now treated to P-Rod’s thoughts on the subject.

As Rodriguez explains, he initially wondered what the KobeSystem could do for him as a professional skateboarder. However, as the system is geared toward “Success For The Successful”, P-Rod explains that his eyes were opened to some important truths and that he ultimately discovered himself thanks to Kobe.

Nike SB is set to ring in the new year with a plethora of releases, one of which is this new V-Rod.

The V-Rod “Nori”, like the upcoming Dunk Mid, takes it’s name after the edible Japanese seaweed typically used to wrap sushi.  With a simple green suede upper alongside black accents and a white vulcanized sole, the clean kicks are an example of what Nike SB tends to do best.

The “Nori” vulcanized P-Rod signature is available now from Concepts for $68.

While we continue to preview more Nike SB P-Rod 5s for 2012 releases, it’s nice to get updates on current ones as well.

November houses plenty of releases, one of them being the Nike SB P-Rod in Anthracite/Black. This model features soft Anthracite nubuck uppers, white and black accents and, as featured in many of this years releases, Lunarlon cushioning.

Nike has dropped countless colorways of the Vulc Rod over the past year.  However, this new look may be the most intriguing.

P-Rod has rocked the Jordan elephant print since Nike dropped his first signature shoe and the trend continues with this brand new release.

This Nike SB seemingly takes cues from the upcoming Jordan III “Black Flip” and features a black-on-black upper with leather side panels and the iconic Jordan elephant print in nubuck on the toebox and heel.

The Nike SB Vulc Rod “Black Elephant” is now available from SB stockists, including Premier.

The popularity of the P-Rod has increased significantly since the release of the second signature. We already showed you the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 5 Low due for a release next year. Also coming in Spring 2012 is the mid-cut version of the P-Rod 5. The Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez 5 comes equipped with a seamless suede upper, TPU supported heel, lifted upper molded collar and foam sock liner which molds to your feet – first for the P-Rod line up. The outsole consists of a flat diamond flex pattern in solid rubber. We preview the sneaker in 3 colorways:

Earlier this summer we reported that the third installment of Paul Rodriguez’s signature sneaker- the Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III would be popping up towards the end of the summer. We now have word that certain retailers in fact have this shoe in stock and ready to go out to the public. At first glance, some of the incorporated differences between the P-Rod III and his previous P-Rod’s I and II include an all-around sleeker design. For example, the sole is evidently more narrow and the tongue less bulky. The shoe also consists of a predominantly white leather base with black accents near the heel and check, and even a hint of red on the lace holes. Topped off with the iconic skateboarder’s signature, Nike certainly is paying a lot of attention to and doing a great job with continuously expanding a skateboarder’s shoe to appeal to athletes and non-athletes alike. Seeing as how certain retailers are already equipped with these bad boys, NOW would be a good time to check in with your local Nike SB retailers before it’s too late to get your hands on them.
