The Five Foot Assassin’s been on NB since “The Low End Theory” hit in ’91. Question is, where have you been? In a decade where poorly constructed reissues and haughty collabs dictate the market, it’s refreshing to see New Balance fastidiously recreate their products of yesteryear like they construct their performance stalwarts of today.

The CM670N Pack validates the Boston company’s commitment to quality and value. There’s no need to look up Billy Mays and “The Pitchmen” crew, ain’t no gimmicks here. Sumptuous suede and mesh accents mark the classic runner’s upper, while C-CAP cushioning and a distinct midsole rev the engines under the 670’s hood. The pack is scheduled to hit American retailers on May 23 and consists of two pairs–powder blue/grey/white and lavender/grey/white. Vans Vault has been dishing out packs left and right as of late, and we now get a first look at a perforated pack which is set to drop in the Summer of 2009. This pack consists of three models: the Vans Sk8 High Lx, the Vans Authentic Lx and the Vans Classic Slip-On Lx. All three sneakers host white uppers with black perforated leather and turquoise accents seen under the perforated leather and on the inner lining. The Vans Vault Perforated Pack should be available for purchase at your local Vans retailers early next month.

In October of 2008, we gave you a preview of the Jackie Robinson Pack which is composed of a trio of Nike Blazer Highs, and we are now receiving word that the pack has begun to retailers. At first glance, you might think that your eyes are fooling you due to the white color placement, but there’s no need to worry. Nike has strategically distorted the Swoosh and created the midsole pattern in order to give the sneaker a unique look. The three colorways set to release include varsity red/white, dark grey/white, and court blue/white. As can be inferred by the name of this pack, all three sneakers honor Jackie Robinson and have Brooklyn written on the tongue because Robinson played for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1947 to 1956. The Jackie Robinson Nike Blazer High Pack is now available at select Nike retailers.

We originally previewed the Air Jordan I (1) Low – Prom Pack in early March, and we now have new pictures and information to share. Jordan Brand will be releasing a Prom Pack consisting of two pairs of the Air Jordan I (1) Phat Low Premium on April 18, 2009. As one can infer by the name of this pack, both sneakers are made for Prom and thus feature patent leather uppers with thin laces. The white pair from the pack hosts a white upper with a black midsole and red accents while the black style hosts a black upper, black midsole, and red inner lining. Expect to see both sneakers from the Air Jordan I (1) Phat Low Premium Prom Pack at your local retailers on April 18, 2009 for a retail price of $100.

Though the Nike Air Huarache Light Burst is not an extremely popular model, these two colorways might change your opinion on the Nike Running sneaker. It is rumored that the two pairs are inspired by the “Bred” and “Cool Grey” Air Jordan XI (11) colorways. The first pair features a tonal grey upper, a semi-transclucent grey outsole, and white accents seen on the midsole, swoosh, and laces. The second pair yields a mesh and patent leather black base accented by a red outsole and a clean white midsole. The Nike Air Huarache Light Burst Quickstrike Pack is now available at select Nike retailers including Proper.

The 1980′s proved to be some of the most monumental years ever in adidas history. During the 80′s, the adidas Stan Smith, the adidas Superstar, and the adidas Campus all remained popular sneakers and it’s hard to believe that now, more than 20 years later, all three models are still going hard. In this pack, the Superstar features an upper composed of elegant maroon snakeskin. The second pair is the Stan Smith which yields a simple black on black colorway with a white midsole. The final pair of this pack, the adidas Campus, features a beige upper composed of snakeskin, suede, and a clean white midsole. By the way, we would suggest anyone with ophidiophobia (a fear of snakes) to keep away from this pack. Via hb.

Earlier today, we featured the Air Jordan I (1) Low Phat – Lakers which is a pack composed of two pairs of the AJ1 Low Phat. We now have pictures of a new Air Jordan Championship pack, but this time the inspiration behind it is another NBA team—the Phoenix Suns. Unlike the Air Jordan Countdown Packs released last year, these packs will sell each sneaker individually. The first of the two colorways features a black base with purple stitching and a white swoosh. The second pair yields a white upper accented by a silver swoosh and purple inner lining. Both pairs include orange midsoles and are obviously inspired by the Phoenix Suns’ jerseys. Expect both pairs to drop in the near future. Via UptempoAir.
