With much anticipation, the Jordan VII ‘Olympic’ has still not had any confirmation about a US release.

It was first rumored that they would touch down on August 7th. After calling every store from Footlocker to Nike, there is still no confirmed release date… In fact not one retailer seems to even know what I’m talking about.

Only one glimmer of hope remains as of now. 23isback.com has the product listed to release in the US on August 14th. Again, there has been no confirmation by Nike or Jordan Brand that this is true. We will keep you posted as the date gets closer.

House of Hoops by Footlocker is an extremely mismanaged micro chain of stores. Both store employees and upper management are resellers. I would never expect to find any heat at the House of Hoops. Instead, I would save my time and search eBay for the special makeups and colorways they have in Air Jordans and Nike shoes. Tomorrow, December 27, 2008, all three HoH locations will make available two exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan Melo M5. The first of these colorways was seen on Carmelo Anthony’s feet over the summer when USA won the gold medal in Olympic basketball in Beijing. This colorway features a white patent leather toebox, a navy midsole and the typical Melo M5 side pattern in a navy and white print. Also included on this colorway is the USA Basketball logo and the date of the opening ceremony, 8/8/08, on the tongue. The second colorway of the AJ Melo M5 yields the away colors of the Denver Nuggets. Featuring a black patent leather tongue, a university blue midsole, and a side pattern consisting of maize and university blue, this pair will definitely match with that Denver Nuggets’ jersey you have in your closet. The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics was one the highlight events of 2008, with this event came a long line of Olympic based sneakers including Carmelo Anthony’s new signature shoe, the M5. Carmelo Anthony featured alongside the cream of the crop of on the U.S.A Olympic Basketball team, dubbed the “Redeem Team” after failing to get gold in the last Olympics. Whether its creative ad campaigns or be sported by the top basketball athletes from all parts of the world in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, Nike has put a lot of emphasis on the Hyperdunk over the past years, but it has been an instant success as more and more styles are being seen each day.

One of the last Olympic models, this Nike Hyperdunk is made up of a white and gold color-way along with “Hyperdunk 08″ written on the tongue. These could be geared toward the “Redeem Team” as they went undefeated and ultimately won the Gold medal after failing in the past few Olympics. Available now via eBay.

Originally seen on the Air Jordan VII (7), the classic Olympic color-way makes it return with an imminent release of the Air Jordan 1 pictured above. Featuring a combination of white/midnight navy/metallic silver/varsity, this Air Jordan 1 are quite interesting and appear in several different colors, a concept that the Air Jordan 1 is not familiar with. Furthermore, the words “Team” is written at the back heel. Overall, a interesting Air Jordan 1 that will sure turn some heads. Release is scheduled for September 13th retailing at $100. The Air Jordan 6IX (Six) Rings has appeared in a few different color-ways, but has been kept under wraps, however we have received a few detailed shots of the Olympic edition model. The Olympic edition 6IX Rings does feature a similar color-way to the Air Jordan VII, but really sets it apart from other styles is its exterior and composition of various Air Jordans.
