Nike is set to celebrate the Black Mamba’s 5th ring with the ZKV ‘5 Rings’. And who knows, maybe a ZKVI ‘6 Rings’ could be on the horizon…

Taking a similar design cue from the ZKIV, these utilize the use of the graffiti style pattern and gradient color splashing on the upper. The color blocking on this pair looks great, although reversing the gradient would have looked a little better, never the less these are one fantastic way to solidify Kobe as one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of kicks on the court.

Even with the new NBA season approaching and the new signature models to come along with it, the Nike Zoom Kobe V is still being released in more colorways. Two of those ZKV models are the white/black/del sole and the black/ink. We still have a little time until the two release, but if you’re itching to get your hands on a pair now VMVinc currently has both pairs in stock.

This sample size 9’s entire upper is dressed nicely with Nike’s much used, and soon to be abused, Eggplant color scheme. A black midsole, collar lining, laces and swoosh border can be seen in the photos. A silver swoosh and Kobe logo on the tongue along with a clear rubber outsole.

To continue the tradition of commemorating the fateful Draft Day that got the 17-year-old Kobe Bryant into professional basketball, the Nike Zoom Kobe V gets the Charlotte colorway treatment. Just like the Draft Day Nike Zoom Kobe IV, the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) Charlotte Hornets Draft Day edition sports a white/teal/purple colorway. This shoe, however, utilizes a sweet pearlized white flywire upper with a purple outlined teal swoosh to match the icey outsole. The tongue also gets the pearl mockup to really make this Draft Day edition shine just as Kobe did when he entered the NBA. Stay tuned for release info so you can get these on your feet ASAP!

With the second official release of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, which came in a black base Lakers away colorway, a matching home version was sure to be in the making. Today, we have a preview of just that: the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) in a Lakers Home colorway. The shoe features a clean white/metallic silver/yellow/purple colorway to go along with the white home uniform of the Los Angeles Lakers. The shoe sports a white base and metallic silver flywire panel, contrasted by a yellow swoosh to match the heel. The spotted laces add a nice touch to the shoe just as its away brother does, and a purple sole finishes off the shoe right. Be sure to expect to see these babies on the Lakers’ feet as well as yours soon.

It makes sense to keep making colorways for the Nike Zoom Kobe V Make Sense edition. This time around, the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) Make Sense comes in a white/yellow/purple colorway, befitting a Los Angeles Lakers home uniform. The shoe uses a full white leather upper and purple flywire stitching where a usual lightweight flywire panel would be. A metallic gold patent leather swoosh adds some nice contrast the the light toned shoe as it matches the inner lining and tongue symbol. Be sure to be on the lookout for these Make Sense editions, as the previous ones were on sale online.
