In July, we caught a few glimpses of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “MVP” colorway. However, since then, it seems as though the Nike team felt Kobe’s achivements during the past basketball season needed to be celebrated in a slightly more exclusive way. To that extent, Nike created eight pairs of a special edition Zoom Kobe IV MVP that possesses slight alterations/additions. First off, the shoes come in a lasered suitcase equipped with medal of authenticity. Moreover, a set of wooden shoe trees have also been added, along with an extra Kobe logo towards the outer sides of the toe box. As we mentioned before, only eight of these super exclusive MVP Nike Zoom Kobe IVs were produced, so don’t get your hopes up at all.

With the Nike Zoom Kobe IV’s, it seems as though we keep feeling them, and Nike keeps making them. Just a few days ago we got a look at the “Gradient Lakers” Kobe IV’s. Well- u guessed it- they’re back. This time, the Gradient Lakers pair comes in a colorway that’s supposedly to be worn during home games. Because home teams usually go with their white jerseys, this Nike Zoom Kobe IV, in turn, sports white where the first pair of Gradient Lakers IV’s we saw sported black. If it isn’t clear by now it should be- Nike has no intentions of slowing down the Nike Zoom Kobe IV colorways. We’ve seen everything from Olympics-inspired colorways to colorways that commemorate high school powerhouses. Now, we get a look at the newest installment of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV- the “4 rings.” Obviously, this pair plays off of Kobe Bryant’s incredible accomplishment of acquiring four NBA championship rings- all with the Los Angeles Lakers. To that effect, this pair of Kobe IV’s comes in a gradient L.A. Lakers color-up. But if you look inside the tongues of each shoe you can find the caricature of a puppet hand belonging to the Kobe Bryant puppet we saw on all those Nike commercials during the playoffs going one-on-one with Lebron’s puppet. Are these now among the best Nike Zoom Kobe IV’s? Let us know what you think.

GoldenMamba1

In July we brought you news of a Nike Zoom Kobe 4 released in honor of Kobe’s golden efforts during the 2008 Summer Olympics. There are now shots of a new Nike Zoom Kobe 4 nicknamed the “Golden Mamba,” which is obviously a hybrid of Kobe Bryant’s nickname “Black Mamba” and the material he’s become used to seeing on the trophies he earns- gold. With a predominantly white upper, L.A. Lakers purple on the sole, golden accents that reach from the outside mid panel to the heel of the shoe, and red accents that do the same on the inside mid panel, perhaps this Zoom Kobe 4 will be No. 24’s most consistent shoe of choice this upcoming NBA season in hopes of reeling in more hardware. The inside soles obviously pay homage to both of Kobe’s Olympic and NBA championship achievements, while a flowery/reptilian pattern makes its way from just below the Nike check to the back heel. How do you guys feel this ranks among the Nike Zoom Kobe 4’s? Check in with us after the jump for more pix, and keep it locked here for more release information as soon as it becomes available.
