Nike is perhaps the most well-known sneaker brand in the world, especially for their innovative basketball silhouettes and up-to-date sneaker technology. One basketball shoe getting ready to make a splash this NBA season is the Nike Zoom Skyposite- which we’ve already previewed for you in a “Kryptonate” and Amare Stoudamire PE. Now some images have surfaced of two more colorways for the Nike Zoom Skyposite- a black/black carbon fiber pair and another with royal blue on the upper and black accents on places such as the Nike swoosh. There is no official release date for either of these yet, but they should be dropping at select Nike retailers nationwide some time during this upcoming NBA season. Rest assured we’ll have more release information as soon as it becomes available. For now, here’s the teasers.

We all remember the monumental 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Final Round, pitting defending champion Dwight ‘Superman’ Howard against the gravity defying Nate ‘Kryptonate’ Robinson, or more specifically — for us sneakerheads — Nate’s PE Foamposite Lites. The same radioactive color scheme that dropped so many jaws is now being applied to the latest model in Nike’s ‘posite’ family, the Zoom Skyposite. Featuring a gradient upper similar to that of the Amare Stoudemire PE Zoom Skyposite we showed you a few days ago, the colorway also incorporates Green Spark into the sole and tongue tag. Although the model has no official affiliation with Robinson, it will be hard to distinguish the sneakers from Kryptonate’s high flying antics. The vibrant colorway will make its way into House of Hoops locations this December.

Nike Skyposite - Amare Stoudemire PE

The latest in innovation of the Nike Basketball line has come in the form of the Nike Skyposite. The Nike Skyposite has been made in a player exclusive colorway for Phoenix Suns star Amare Stoudemire. The Skyposite features a black gradient leather upper with a white swoosh to contrast the dark base shoe. The gradient blends purple to match the purple Lunar-lite midsole, which keeps a white outsole underneath. On the opposite end, the inner lining and laces are black, with the tongue bearing the initials of Amare. This unbelievably light shoe will release this December.

Nike Basketball Spring 2010

Nike Basketball’s Spring 2010 Collection features new hoopin’ styles in a variety of shapes and sizes. ‘Bron’s Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) GS in anthracite/black and white/black/crimson red headlines the pack. The ZKV Make Sense is a takedown of the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5). New variation of the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo and the third installment in the Zoom BB (aptly named the Zoom BB III (3)) are included. The shoe I’m most intrigued about is the ultra-sleek Nike Skyposite Mid. What do you guys think of the lineup? Each shoe will be available at retailers worldwide in Spring 2010.

Nike Basketball has some fire in store of Fall/Winter 2009. During this quarter Nike plans on releasing a few retros as well as a plethora of new shoes. First up, and probably the one that many people are looking forward to, is the re-release (retro) of the Air Garnett III. The AG III is going to be released in both the white and black versions, which both have accents of blue that originally represented the colors of Kevin Garnett’s first team the Minnesota Timberwolves
