This time coming in a predominantly red suede base, this P-Rod III also contains white accents via the shoe laces and professional skateboarder’s signature on the tongue. Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez 2.5 - Summer 2010

It seems as if the branches of Nike are all borrowing ideas from each other. For example, Nike SB has made a hybrid of sorts following in the footsteps of Jordan Brand and their .5 models such as the Air Jordan 16.5. The result is the Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez 2.5, which is obviously a mix between the Nike SB Zoom P-Rod II and III. This particular 2.5 features a deep burgundy/university blue colorway, using a deep burgundy suede upper with deep burgundy leather on the swoosh and ankle panel. University blue is placed on the stitching and inner lining to accent the dark color. A nice clean white midsole gives the shoe a complete skate feel. Give us your thoughts on this 2.5 before it comes out Summer 2010.

Nike
teams up with frequent collaborator Michael Lau to present a new colorway of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski. Similar to the 2006 Nike SB Dunk Low Lau worked on, the sneaker features a stylized woodgrain patterned upper, but uses brighter accenting than its older sibling, creating contrast with its white laces/midsole. Word has it that model will be released on October 3rd, to coincide with the end of Lau’s ‘10th Gardener’ exhibition, but no news on how limited a release it might be facing. Stayed tuned for more information as we get closer to the start of next month.

Could Nike SB be looking at revisiting their “Horror Pack” from back in 2007? This blood splattered Blazer High model could be a good indication, featuring a stained upper similar to that of the highly anticipated (but never released) “Freddy Kruger SB Dunk Low”. Featuring an off-white toe box and grey Swoosh, the colorway does little to mask the eerie nature of its splattered upper, but only time will tell if the release is part of a bigger collection. Word has it that this Blazer High model will be hitting Nike SB retailers before the year is out, but we’ll keep you up to speed with any official news.
